I think the main reason, why Brasil failed so bad, wasn't necessarily that parriera was a bad coach, i think they had too many old players, they couldn't produce, the way Brasil attacks, they do leave alot of space open, but they needed young players who could run, and they didnt have that, like roberto carlos and cafu, they play in key positions for brasil and that's were brasil lacked, they were too slow in those positions....

Brazil's failure in this World Cup in my opinion can be blamed on Pareira. It's ok to bet on veteran players, counting that they are producing. Cafu and Ronaldo came into the World Cup coming from injuries and little playing time in the months prior to the WC. Adriano had a terrible season, scored like 8 goals in the Italian league, and him and Ronaldo came in overweight for pre season. Parreira tested the team twice in WC and they sucked. Cicinho, Robinho came in and it was a completely different story. But instead of learning his lesson he continues playing Cafu and Adriano. And playing the same team for 2 yrs, against France he starts a team that never started before. Brazil was worried with all the records they could get, at least we got 2. Ronaldo is the top goal scorer ever with 15 WC goals and Lucio set the record for the longest streak in the WC without a foul

In the World Cup? It because of this:

They didn't have Scolari, Carlos Alberto Parreira was an idiot, didn't work together as much as the other countries (no team chemistry), Roberto Carlos too old and just sucks, Ronaldihno was marked most of the time, too many individual stars, and they were too cocky. They also played in europe, so France had the crowd advantage when they beat them.

its bcoz wen the attack, they leve very big spaces at the back, Roberto Carlos, instead of marking henry, marked some1 else, n the second reason was tht the coach wasnt good enuf. Im sure the new coach dunga will be very good. But, the brazilians r still the best.

It is called a failure because people were talking what a great team they had. The same as Ronaldinho, they were just mediocre. And performed as they were.

The coach.
He's afraid to drop the big names.
Carlos Alberto Parreira had so much talent at his disposal but he just blew it.
Sven Goran Erikkson will understand that all too well.

Come on! You cannot win them all. Three Finals in a row! Law of averages was going to catch up with them no matter how good they were.

it was Roberto Carlos, while everyone was busy catching players, he didn't catch Henry . & he hit the goal. it isn't that they are incapable of winning, but due to some mistakes, they lost the match that day.
