I think Miro Klose is underated as a goal scorer (probably a lot of people outside of Europe would not have heard of him had there not been World Cups 2006 and 2002 due to less coverege of the Bundesliga compared to other major leagues (Serie A, Premier League and Primera Liga) outside of Europe.
GK = Buffon for the same reason given as Juventina
Midfielder = too many to choose a best. Kaka would rank among my top midfielders for flair and creating opportunities for goals

i think the whole Italian Team is well fitted in this category.. if only looks were enough to win the world cup, the azzurri wud have won it very easily .. but that was not enough so they won it using their talent and effectiveness. but if i have to name one player, it would be Alessandro Nesta. he is one of the best defenders if not the best and he is the hottest player.

I like Miroslav Klose because he is good looking(i give him 11 on 10), is extremely talented,(as in the worldcup) and I suppose he is very effective. He led Germany to the bronze medal....

Christian Vieri. He is just great, ever since i watched the game when i was little i loved him, i wanted to play just like him. Inter was my favorite team and im left footed like him. Hes shot is amazing and i was so sad when he couldnt play in this world cup!! He has always been and always will be, i dont change fav players ever just because they did good in one game.

Thiery Henry-- Fast as hell, can dribble, scores average 26 goals per season, gives out passes, not selfish, Captain of Arsenal(champions league finalist). In the french team that got to the world cup finals twice in 1998 and 2006. Still fit and still playing.
