Football (American) - February 2007

The fans pay good money to see the game and tehy have to sit in the rain, better off having it in domes stadiums where they are no chances of weather spoiling the game, especailly for the Super Bowl, considering alot is inolved for this game. Entertainment, fans, players, media,
plus I was tired of seeing the camera fog up off and on and rain drops on it.

We saw some serious rain last night...much more than we saw when the 49ers beat Miami at Stanford in SB XIX. Now...are New York, Denver or Kansas City serious contenders as future host sites?

Congrats to Colts for winning but was it just me or was that game really boring. Neither team played well. There was never really an exciting climax point to the game. And the end celebration was cool either. I was expecting a great celebration but no one acted like they cared. Did anyone else feel this way?

He was all over the place! forced fumbles and had 1 interception. And without him, I wonder how the Colts season would have actually finished! He's a pro bowler that won't make the pro bowl because he was injured most of the season. However, I will not argue the fact that Joseph Addai or Dominic Rhodes could have been MVP as well. But I was more impressed with the Colts defense! I mean Grossman, Jones, and Benson didn't have a chance!! Bob Sanders put a hit on Benson that I'm sure he will never forget, unless he got a concusion, or brain damage from the hit. To be honest I thought the Bears running game would be a serious problem for the Colts! Boy was I ever wrong! But I am very happy that the Colts won!!! I suppose Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe will no longer say that the Colts cannot win the big game! Well Marino; look who has a super bowl ring!! Where is yours?

It's simple! They started out strong, but they flopped right at the end.

Here are my assumptions. NFL teams can use 1 franchise tag at each position. They use these to keep players from becoming free-agents towards the end of their contracts.

I'm just looking for an explanation of this whole process. When teams would use them, why they use them, when they can and can't use them, ect.

Just curious how many people were surprised to see Peyton win the big game. I know that the news casters felt that Peyton could not do it.

As a Tennessee Vols Fan, I had to pull for the former Vol. I was very happy for him in winning not just the big game, but the biggest game of all. Hope to see him there many more times in his carreer.

He is one of the few players you see that is not getting in trouble, not wasting his money on things he does not need and represents his family, friends, past coaches and fans better than any player I can think of.

So the question? Who was surprised he won the big game? Why?

Former Redskin receiver Art Monk got denied Hall of Fame induction again. Monk was a leader on 3 Super Bowl champion teams, and finished with 940 receptions for 12,721 yards and 68 TDs. He had great hands and work ethic, was a tough blocker and a class act on and off the field.
By comparison, while Hall voters checked NO for Monk, they did induct prostitute loving, crack-smoking Cowboys WR Michael Irvin, whose career numbers were not as good as Monk's.
Nice.

I think Peyton Manning is awesome and amazing and would root for him no matter what (unless he's playing my team- the Steelers), but I do not think that he played that well to be named MVP in the Superbowl. Don't get me wrong, he did all right, but he didn't have a good enough performance to be MVP. I think that it should have been Dominic Rhodes. What are your opinions?
