I think him and lovie will have a long heart to heart this summer and I have a feeling they might go with Griese at the start of next year.

Jeff Garcia or Rex Grossman?

For starters, let's ignore personal emotion when answering this question, and instead actually compare the two quarterbacks via statistics first.

Garcia: He's older and has less of a future in the league. Which, when it comes to the future of a team, this will be taken into high consideration (depending on what role a team is looking for). Garcia will fair better in the air than Grossman, however he has been known to fumble often during scrambles in the back field and is also hesitant to take a hit. He never really appears to be 'involved' in the game, and usually takes a passive role.

Grossman: Not the best in the air. In fact, he's thrown way too many interceptions in his life. However, Grossman is excellent on the ground, and can truly command an offense. If his passing game improves, he'll have a good career, until then he'll have to settle as a mediocre QB.

If the team is looking for a short-term second string with a West Coast Offense, nothing more and nothing less, then Garcia ought to be your choice. Any other type of strategy, and any other type of offense, then Grossman should be your choice.

Simple as that! Cheers.

Jeff Garcia won't go to the Bears. Grossman didn't lose that game yesterday. He was bad but the defense was worse. For some reason Chicago loves beating up on Rex. His passes were bad but he didn't lose the game. At the beginning of the year every fan would have laughed at the idea the Bears were going to the Super Bowl. Bear fan here too.

I have been a Chicago Bears fan my entire life. I have stayed with the Bears through thick and thin. How can anyone even think about Jeff Garcia? You have to be kidding right? He would have been great say....umm....10 YEARS AGO. I really don't understand why people attack Grossman the way they do. He is young and inexperienced, but very talented. Who would have thought that in his VERY FIRST YEAR as a starter he would take the Bears to the Superbowl. This question is stupid. Grossman all the way.

Thirty plus years as a Bears fan and I can't remember when we had a quality quarterback. Rex didn't lose the superbowl. The Bears lost the superbowl. Rex certainly didn't help the situation, but you can not pin the whole thing on him. Everyone on the 53 man roster had a hand in losing that game.

Rex will be the quarterback for the Bears for many years to come. Really it is unfortunate that all his growing pains are displayed because he is on such a high profile team. He isnt any worse than any other young quarterback that has come into the league.

With a little more experience he will be a force to be reckoned with. Just wait and see.

The Bears will not invest in a 36 year old qb like Garcia. Grossman or Griese if he is still there will more than likely be the starter.

Rex Grossman is unpredictible, and I doubt Jeff Garica well become a FA. I think it's time the Bears look for a new QB. Trade away Rex Grossman and release all unproductive/useless players (e.g. Jeff Blake, etc.) to make space for the salary cap. LET KYLE ORTON START!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grossman. He is too talented for them not to give him a shot to let him overcome inconsistency (see Roethlisberger rookie to second year). Much as I hate to say it, I could definitely see Grossman doing something similar (although I doubt the Bears could win). Chicago needs to draft Brady Quinn though. Since they can't, if Grossman doesn't work it out, Orton should start.

Rex Grossman will stay with the Bears and their offence will continue to suck.

I don't get it either. Seems to me that if G-d is omnipotent, omniscient, the Alpha and the Omega, the All That Is -- then there is nothing G-d lacks, and therefore nothing G-d needs or wants -- including worship and obedience. So why does G-d supposedly NEED to be believed in, never mind worshiped -- to the point of punishing people with torture for all eternity for failing to believe or worship????? Seems to me this is the behavior of a jealous, insecure, egotistical king or ruler with all-too-human frailties, shortcomings and faults, not that of the perfect Eternal Source of the Universe. IOW, those who believe that non-believers will be punished simply can't wrap their minds around the idea of a G-d that is beyond human needs for admiration and worship. They make the G-d of their beliefs small and petty, to fit into a size that their limited imaginations can handle. They truly are children of a lesser G-d.
