They would have finished 7-5 right. No, maybe even 6-6. LOL. They go UNDEFEATED in that overrated conference.

The SEC is just one good team, 4 mediocre teams, and the rest are bad to average teams. There is no powerhouse conference. There are powerhouse teams from every conference.

And come on, be honest, who do you think would win between Michigan and Auburn?

The Steelers returned 19 of their 22 starters from the 2005 Super Bowl team for the 2006 season and will more than likely miss the playoffs. They have tried to bring in another big back to replace Jerome and they loaded the safety spot to replace Hope. They also drafted a Holmes who has looked very promising at times this year and has finally started to fill in the void quite nicely for the departure of ARE... so will they be back in the thick of things for 07?

As an avid female sports enthusiast, I find it offensive to have female comentaters, asking questions and doing interviews on the sidelines, at halftime and at the end of the games. Most of them ask incredibly dumb or ignorant questions at very inappropriate times and just exude a considerable lack of knowledge of the game. This is an addition that I have noticed this season more than any other. Is this practice going to continue? If so, then these women need to be educated better in the sports that they are dealing with. Female sportscasters as a whole do not bring the same degree of credibility to sportscasting as do male commentators. Thank you for your time.

There is no way to determine. Fact is Michigan lost to Ohio St. and didn't win the conference. I'm not a fan of either Florida or Michigan, but I like the fact that Florida will get a shot. I also believe Florida will beat Ohio St. because there is simply more talent. Back to the question.
That is why we need a playoff. Nobody can say Michigan is better than Florida or Florida is better than Michigan. They didn't play each other!!!
Based on their schedules it shouldn't have even been a question who was #2. The BCS was wrong for keeping Michigan at #2 for that long anyways. That's why the controversy got started.
I think the NCAA needs a playoff system similar to the NFL. Every conference champion (yes even the mid majors) gets a bid, as well as a few wild cards for 1-loss teams. All that crying about too many games makes no sense. The players won't care. They will play more than 20 games (including preseason) in the NFL anyways so just let them play.

I think it is interesting how, all these Michigan fans call Florida a mediocre team. A mediocre team doesn't go 12-1 in the SEC. Florida is defensive team with the best front seven in the nation also a strong corner and a 1st team safety. It is not easy to score points on the gators.

Leak is a good quarter back (they also have Tebow for short yardage), and he has good recievers (caldwell, ingram, harvin, and Baker). They can run the ball with Harvin, Moore, or Wynn. Not to mention Billy Latsko is a bad a**.

Special teams have made plays all seasons.

Urban Meyer will have a solid game plan for Ohio State. It should be a good game.

Why are people discrediting Florida, because they didn't get their way?

I'm neither suggesting he should be fired nor that he should leave. Curious, though...are we looking at a situation similar to that of one Don Shula? The Big Wincer had early success when he took the reigns in Denver and has had decent teams ever since, just like Shula did with the Dolphins...Shula lasted 25 years on his 2 Super Bowl wins.

So the question is, will Shanahan finish his career in Denver? Or do you think he will be moving elsewhere in the near future?

Emphasis on "traditional," not who is the best this year, last year, in the 1999 season, etc.

Honestly, if that was the only prerequisit to play in the title game, then good teams would only schedule cupcake games out of conference....then good teams from good conferences would never make the game cuz its tough to go undefeated in the SEC, Big 10, Pac10, Big East and ACC. Only 1 team from those conferences went undefeated (ohio st.) If you are the cream of the crop in a crappy mid major, then you should be scheduling teams to play from power conferences....who did Boise St. play out of conference? Exactly, teams weaker than in their own conference..besides Oregon St at home! If you want to compete with the big boys, you have to play them in the regular season, and not duck them till its time for a BCS game.

The AFC is wrong. Denver should be in the top 6 for the playoffs not the Jets. Their conferece record is 7-3 not 3-5.

I get to start 2 qbs in my league and I have Romo, Leinart and Garcia.

My Rbs are solid with LJ and LT so no questions there.
And at WR I start 3 and have Stallworth, Boldin, Caldwell, Houshmanzadeh, Keyshawn, and Santonio Holmes. TE I get to start Colsten and the defense I got the bears so I am solid there.

I am an Eagle fan so this is unbiased. Romo has not been very good. He has shown to thrown bad passes under pressure and can not run very well. Romo has one of the worst QB ratings in the leauge, and They need Bledsoes experience if they want to go far inthe playoffs. What do you guys think.

Many good passers out there in the NFL and college. Why be hampered by a guy who cannot get the job done. Atlanta will NEVER get to a super bowl with Vick.

The only near certainty is that Green will be out in Arizona.

I look around and see unemployed coaches like Steve Mariucci, Dan Reeves and Jimmy Johnson (yes, that Johnson) who are still hanging around.

Who else will be gone for the '07 season, and who would you like to see in for the '07 season?
