As an avid female sports enthusiast, I find it offensive to have female comentaters, asking questions and doing interviews on the sidelines, at halftime and at the end of the games. Most of them ask incredibly dumb or ignorant questions at very inappropriate times and just exude a considerable lack of knowledge of the game. This is an addition that I have noticed this season more than any other. Is this practice going to continue? If so, then these women need to be educated better in the sports that they are dealing with. Female sportscasters as a whole do not bring the same degree of credibility to sportscasting as do male commentators. Thank you for your time.

Well, in defense of the sideline commentators, they are not going to ask the tough questions, for 2 reasons: 1) They will be ignored, and 2) Word will get around the NFL / NCAA, and no one will talk to them. The fact is that the sideline commentators are there to get vanilla quotes and do footwork on injuries. Have you seen the sideline commentators when dealing with the players / coaches? No player/coach is really paying attention - because they have their mind on something a bit more important at the time. This goes for both male (Goose), and female commentators.

Fact is, I find most commentary boring and obvious. Most of it is to fill up "dead air". Rarely do you find someone talking about the X's and O's, the technical aspects, of a game. What the coverage is, what the formations are, what the original vs. audible play call is.

The only problem I have with women commentators is that they are not toppless when they are doing interviews...I mean how am I supposed to take them seriously with all those clothes on...I guess maybe a g-string bikini would do...
