Fantasy Sports - August 2006

I drafted #7 and decided to grab some elite WRs since the sll-star RBs were picked up. I may end up trading a WR for a decent RB, since there are some teams in WR trouble already, but that has yet to be determined.

Ok We have a 14 team League-You can protect one guy each year, never the same guy twice. This year there are about 10RBs protected, 3 WR and my pick? I cant decide between Culpepper and R Droughns. I know He Droughns isnt the best back but with 10RB already taken, and me at the 5th pick, if I dont get one of the last few at #5 in the first rd (looking like MIA, BUF, TB RB's) I could be screwed by time 2nd rd comes back to me! I do have 2 2nd rd picks! anyway who would you protect? Culpepper or Droughns? Culpepper used to be one the TOP QB's coming off injury and now in Miami? Good WR and TE but is he worth protecting when I can get another QB in any round after the 2nd that would probably be comparable! anyway weigh in please....the league is waiting on my protected player, and I keep going back and forth! ugh

Have the #6 pick in my Draft. Most likely Portis, Tiki, Rudi Johnson, Steven Jackson and E James will be avail. Who should I pick? I am really concerened about Portis coz of the shoulder. Tiki is getting old. Don't know what to expect out of Jackson. #6 seems a bit too high for Rudi.

I have been offered this trade.
I get Kurt Warner and Ruben Droughns, I lose Shaun Alexander. I like the idea beacuse I was unlucky in my autopick draft at the QB position. I have David Carr and Brad Johnson on my roster and only players of that calibur or less are on the free agent market.
Is this enough for Alexander given the sorry state of my QB's or should I counter and ask for Warner and Tiki Barber insted of Droughns?

I'm in a league that only lets you set your lineup once for the upcoming week (Sun-Mon). I have Chris Young on my roster. He's been inconsistent. B.Arroyo is on the waiver wire right now.
