Fantasy Sports - August 2006

I asked this in Football (American), but noticed that there is Fantasy category, so asking here too.

Won FF league last year. Get to keep 2 players. Got 12th pick in draft (since winning last year). Will lose the rounds (picked last year) on both players I keep.

Definitely keeping RB Shawn Alexander (1st pick last year) and will lose my 1st pick this year, but draft wraps around, so I will get 1st pick in 2nd round.

Who would you keep as your 2nd keeper: WR Marvin Harrison (3rd rd pick last year), WR Plexico Burris (5th), WR Santana Moss (10th), WR Antwaan Randle El (12th)? (No good RBs to toss in the mix here due to round picks, etc.)

What RB would you pick as your first pick in 2nd round granted someone else doesn't decide to keep them? I know...toss up here, huh? Know any good sleepers?

Any suggestions?

I'm asking this for my hubby cause he's driving me crazy trying to decide. We have been in fantasy leagues before, but this is the first time in a keeper. Thanks!

J Stevens (TE Sea) is injured and won't be back for a while. SHould I drop him For Vernon Davis (SF) Kellen Winslow (CLE), or Daniel Graham (NE)? Or should I keep stevens. i already have gonzalez and McMichael at TE.

I think personally this could be a last place team in a 10 team league.

What are some of the worst trades that have been proposed to you this preseason?
In one of my leagues the commisioner has been proposing stupid trades to everyone then badmouthing all the rejects.
So far he has thrown these at me.
1 He wanted my Warner and Droughns
for his Brooks and Stallworth (tried to make it sound like a steal)
2 This time he wanted my Warner and Boldin
for his Brooks and Stallworth again.
3 Rudi Johnson for Brooks
4 Now its Warner for Brooks

Okay, I have one proven RB and four other sleepers. I'm just wondering who you think should be my second starting RB. Clinton Portis is my undisputed number one: who is second??

I'd say Benson or Gore, but all of the backs are due to split carries!

Gore with BArlow, Benson with Jones, Bush with McAlister and Maroney with Dillon. However, Gore and Benson are first stringers. So who should be my second RB?

I had LJ and C. Benson from last years keepers. This years draft landed me R. Bush, Frank Gore, M. Anderson......I picked up M. Bell (Denver) last week when he was handed the top spot there. This is a 14 team keeper league and I am thinking that I may have the best 6 RB's on any 1 team. Our league starts:

1 QB....Brees (D. Carr)
2 RB's......Bush, LJ (Benson, Gore, Anderson, Bell)
2 WR's.......Galloway, Branch (Wilford, Mi. Clayton)
1 TE......LJ Smith
1 K.....Akers
1 DST.......Miami (Buffalo)

I would like a rating of my RB's along with my whole team if there are any peeps out there that have solid advice......yes, I know I may have to trade for another WR...Watcha think???

Do you think I should get rid of any players, or start certain players that are benched? The one positions I don't know about is Donte Stallworth. Is he good enough to start as #3 WR? Or should I put Antonio Bryant there?

I draft #2 overall in a non-keeper league, with more points for RB's and WR's, than QB's. Who would you rather take, L.J. L.T. or Alexander, and why? Would you take any one else in the top three other than those I listed?

I think the #1 will be Alexander, but the KC O-line is scary right now, and San Diego has a young QB, what if the passing game is a bust?
