You got yourself a good player without giving much. Overbay is one of the hotter hitter this season but Morneau is a complete package, hitting for power in a reletivetly dominating pitching team, and has 100+ RBI at this point, so you have the benefit of having more while giving up a struggling pitcher who at times was brilliant in one game and a major disaster in the next. Reap the benefit.

Tremendous trade for you. Morneau is guaranteed at a minimum .280 25 90 for the next few years. Overbay will never reach that, and Pettitte has a hard time walking around with the gigantic fork sticking out of his back.

Even though Overbay has been doing well lately, this is a good trade because Morneau is an RBI machine

good deal, depends on what the rest of your staff looks like though. overbay is a doubles machine, but morneau is an upgrade there for sure.
pettite is pitching better than before the AS break, but he's not a bad guy to move now.

Morneau is hot right now and along with Mauer is pretty much carrying the Twins offense, good trade in my opinion.

Good trade. Morneau is in a good hitter's park, lefty and entering his prime years, so he will get better.
1 piece of advice, I always try to get something else real small as a throw-in (draft picks, low-rated rookies, anything..)

i'm a Twins fan and that i love him plenty. i imagine he can be a destiny hall of Famer if he retains this up. i'm actually wearing a Morneau blouse now and going to the game tonight. i don't think of it may be undesirable if human beings ask who he's. an rather good type of human beings might want to truly recognize who he's already. Oh, and he's the AL chief for HR and RBI on the prompt yet no longer the NL HR chief.
