Inspite of having 5 regular bowlers almost everytime Tendulkar had to come and break the partnerships. Still we have to turn to Sachin or Yuvraj not because of the absence of the fifth bowler but because of the helplessness of the fifth bowler. Isn't it better then to have an extra batsman not only to strengthen our batting but also batsmen tend to be better fielders ?

The umpires now decide that the game will now become 20-20 i.e. the second team will also bat for 20 overs only. But as we all know that the second batting side will get only 8 overs of powerplay. Isn't that unfair? Shouldn't the rules be changed so that in case rain curtails the match the second team also gets the equal no of field restricting overs ?

Imagine a side chasing a large total, they are bound to hit out in the first 10 overs. The fielding side then spreads the field and thus squeezes the runs thus increasing the reqd rate. As a result the batting side tries to hit out and thus loses a few wickets. The fielding side now has an upperhand and reintroduces the powerplay. But now the batting side can't hit out for the fear of losing further wickets.I am sure you must have seen many such instances. On the otherhand teams batting first don't come under such pressure since they are setting a target and thus can pace their innings. So I think we should remove this powerplay and reintroduce first 15over mandatory field restrictions. What do you say friends?

Aussies are 4 time world champions -- 1987, 1999, 2003, and 2007.

And their record against india is as follows --
85 matches played, 52 wins, 27 losses, 6 no result

Their record against india while playing in india --
32 matches played, 16 wins, 12 losses, 4 no result.

Their record against India while playing in Australia --
30 matches played, 24 wins, 6 losses.

Their record against india in neutral venue--
23 matches played, 12 wins, 9 losses, 2 no result.

So the statistics tell that Australia will win the current one day series in India too.

Do you think the result will be different? if so, what makes you feel that way?

The question is about 'BEAMER' - a delivery which reaches the batsman at head height without bouncing.

Tony Greig has said that 99% of the beamers bowled by fast bolwers now days are pre-planned & they should be sent out of the ground immediately after bowling a beamer.
He says that it's tough thing to bowl a beamer through a slip of the ball from the hands.
Scientifically if a ball slips from the hand than the speed of that delivery should be much less than the average speed of that particular bowler but now days bowlers are bowling beamers at 145-150 km/hr.

He says that if a ball slips from the hands than it is impossible for the ball to get such a speed.

What do you people think of this serious issue?
Do you also think that most beamers are pre-planned?
If yes, then what should be the punishment for bowling a beamer?

Thanks!!!
