Imagine a side chasing a large total, they are bound to hit out in the first 10 overs. The fielding side then spreads the field and thus squeezes the runs thus increasing the reqd rate. As a result the batting side tries to hit out and thus loses a few wickets. The fielding side now has an upperhand and reintroduces the powerplay. But now the batting side can't hit out for the fear of losing further wickets.I am sure you must have seen many such instances. On the otherhand teams batting first don't come under such pressure since they are setting a target and thus can pace their innings. So I think we should remove this powerplay and reintroduce first 15over mandatory field restrictions. What do you say friends?

Since the time of Kerry Packer, all the new rules are in favour of batsmen to make the game so called "interesting". It has largely removed technics from the game. I have some crazy/funny ideas to change the game, may be a time will come & my ideas are realities.....
1. Have 4 or 5 stumps.
2. In case of run-out, both the batsmen are given out. Since a run is an effort of both, the result should also be for both.
3. Increase no. of fielders to 13 or 15.
4. When 5 / 6 wickets fall, the team is declared "all out"
5. A batsman retires at a certain score say 50 or 80.
6. A batsman is given out when catch is taken first bounce.

Your point is quite valid and give fair opportunity for the team batting second.
