well i really dont know why the team needs him...his bowling is also not upto the mark...he must stick to his basics...he should nt try new things while bowling to a gr8 batsman...let him play enough of ranji trophy matches...then may be he can *** to international cricket!!!!!!!!!anyway its upto the board to decide....good luck romesh powar!!!!!!!!!!!

Because he is the best all rounder India he has ever had. - He is all round from head to toe. So, he is the best all rounder.
On a serious note, I think that it is always gonna be the contest between P Chawla and R Powar. Powar flights ball very well, gives it a lot of air, one of the rarest species in ODI cricket. Sometimes, it bamboozles the batsman. He is not so effective in slog overs though. I think he needs to tighten up in the slog overs. Else, P Chawla will get a look in for his place.

ramesh powar is a good spinner.india is very dangerous on spinning pitches so ramesh powar needs to play in the game

thats a good question.......yes of course he is needed for the indian team because he picks up wickets at crucial times and he is a very economical bowler when u compare with others.he is going through a bad period now but i have confidence that he will come back soon and make india proud.

He needs at least some help from the pitch.With little to contribute in fielding and batting he becomes a liability in batsman friendly pitches.

In the absence of another good spinner for ODI as Piyush chawla is injured, they have to continue with Pawar.
