Dhoni has to concentrate on his bating and he should bat at No. 3, that is the right place for him.
There need a change for opening pair. it is better to try with Gambhir and dravid, since that would be balanced combination

Aussies are 3 time world champions -- 1999, 2003, and 2007.
And their record against india is as follows --
85 matches played, 52 wins, 27 losses, 6 no result
Their record against india while playing in india --
32 matches played, 16 wins, 12 losses, 4 no result.
So it really doesn't matter who the Indian captain is or what decision should be made after winning the toss. The fact is that Australia is a very powerful team and almost no country can match their strength in 50 over match.
But i would say this much, that if india is to win the toss, it should not decide to field first. Because seeing how deep and explosive the aussie batting line up is -- scores of 300 is regular business for them. This was the same mistake Ganguly made against Aus in 2003 world cup final too -- he decided to field first and a score of 359 was posted by Aussies.
So just don't field first if toss is won.

The reasons are:
1) Dhoni was more than confident
to wrap up Aussies Innings in less
than 250 runs.
2) Since Dhoni thought that he was
the best captain, he foolishly made them to bat
first.
3) Opening the inings with Gambhir,
whose strike rate is one of the
poorest in ODI, was the second mistake.
4) The body movements of Gambhir was so
disgusting, that he made Sachin
too nervous.
5) The pace of striking by Gambhir
and Dhoni was too slow, which
put pressure on all the batsmen.
6) We must not forget that Gambhir's
score in 20x20 finals drew no
applaude from the media due to
very slow strike rates in initial overs,
which had put pressure on the entire team's
confidence.
7) No selector had the guts to kick
out the name sake of Pawar from the
poor bowling squad.

There was nothing wrong with Dhoni electing to field as India got 2 early wickets. However, our bowlers failed to keep up the pressure and lost the grip of the game mid way through. Further with the batting line up India had, the total put up by Australia was chaseable if the batsmen tried to concentrate and get set before playing aggressive and attacking shots. They should have tried to take singles and doubles and put Australia under pressure instead of giving them advantage by loosing wickets at regular intervals.

Spinners disappointed us big time. The fast bowlers bowled very well. And lets not judge Dhoni by one loss. He got us the T20 WC with a pretty young and kinda inexperienced squad. Beating the best teams in the world is no mean joke. Let Dhoni settle down. Haste makes WASTE !

1.To bowl first with two spinners in the team is a mistake.
2.Dravid should come at the fall of Tendulkar's wicket.
3.While chasing it is better to have Uthappa at No 5 or 6.
With the return of the seniors,we are back to the old stories.Struggling to contain the opposition in the middle and end overs.Getting poor starts while batting.
Above all the Aussies professional approach stood out.

the design of Fielding first was right but first the bowlers disappointed specially spinners then in latter half batsmen threw their wickets irresponsibly.
Dhoni can't do every thing himself he can just set the Field then bowler should have to ball according to it and batsman should bat responsibly. That's the only reason why in Indian cricket captain job is so tough people jump on their head without knowing the reason of defeat.
If you are relay concerned about tell me on thing how can Clark's a part time spinner can generate a better economy rate then Bhaji and power when he is playing in our cricketing conditions. Players should take their responsibility and should play according to their straight they can beat Australia in every match but for that consistency is required.

dhoni might be a good captain in 20-20 as it is a game of youngsters and aggression but it is not so in 50-50
