Aussies, Kiwis, the sub-continent, much of Africa, even the English (:-)) play and love this game in different styles but when you try to explain it ....

Particularly test cricket, on the face of it, it's 5 days of guys running in to bowl, often the ball going past untouched, to batsmen who slowly compile a lot of jogging practice. But it's fascinating. Why do we love it? What can you say to an American for example to explain that?

Ok, it's an intresting question. You have to choose an 11 men team consisting of players from different teams which
participated in the recent T20 world cup.

My 'ALL STAR' team -

1. Matty Hayden
2.Sanath Jayasuriya
3.Yuvraj Singh
4.Chris Gayle
5.Craig McMillan
6.Adam Gilchrist
7.Misbah Ul Haq
8.Chaminda Vaas
9.Harbhajan Singh
10.Umar Gul
11.R.PSingh

So what is your 'ALL STAR' team?

I am 17 years old and I am thinking if I am to old to play competitavly for lancashire and then maybe England. Most players get scouted at a young age and even though I have been playing for 6 years, I have only started taking it serious this year. Am I past the stage were I can play profesionally?

I know Hayden & Gayle are also there but boy! these two guys hit it like a rocket.

I saw in the last match, Dhoni sent the ball to the boundary in just 2.66 seconds.

Without any doubt, Dhoni & Symonds are the two must hard hitting batsmen in world cricket today.

It's hard to choose bewtween the two so i will let you decide who is the hardest hitter

For mine, I always think of Viv Richards. The sheer arrogance and the gum chewing and the look of disdain when he'd just belted the bowler.

But Hayden and Gilchrist must go close. I'd hate to have to bowl to them when there on fire.

Why there is no big cricket matches are played in chennai whenever teams like australia, pakistan are coming to play in India. Chepauk is an international acclaimed ground when compared to the grounds in Jaipur, Gwalior. etc. Moreover very oftenly BCCI is not considering conducting matches in chennai. As an ardent fan of cricket from chennai Im really disappointed with the way BCCI choosing the grounds for international matches.
