I am 17 years old and I am thinking if I am to old to play competitavly for lancashire and then maybe England. Most players get scouted at a young age and even though I have been playing for 6 years, I have only started taking it serious this year. Am I past the stage were I can play profesionally?

First of all you aren't too old to play cricket at the international level provided you have the talent to make it to your county or national side. Secondly, as far as England is concerned, teenage players hardly make it to the top. Only after years of playing and performing consistently well is a player considered for inclusion in the county or national team. In the sub-continent, raw, talented youngsters are given a place in the national side. But that is hardly so in England. So take up the game in right earnest if you are serious about playing the game at the highest level. And best of luck.

No. 17 years is not too old. If you take the game seriously and start playing exceptionally well, youn can still look for better avenues in your carreer.

I dont think your too young to get into in competively. I do not follow it but I have cousins back home who play and compete .. they are 17-20 yrs old.

What you do is this if, you know your a great cricketer deep in your English heart then, prove your local club & coaches your better than Willian Nunn or rest of the Englsih players in your club.
