For mine, I always think of Viv Richards. The sheer arrogance and the gum chewing and the look of disdain when he'd just belted the bowler.

But Hayden and Gilchrist must go close. I'd hate to have to bowl to them when there on fire.

I haven't seen Dhoni play yet. I've heard he's a good hitter though.

Javed Miandad. Boy was he an arrogant chap ! I think he was more Australian than Pakistani in his behaviour. His sheer arrogance cannot be expressed in words. His banter and talent to back it up with a great performance is just tremendous.

As soon as he used to walk onto the pitch, he would start with his murmur. Be it Aussies, Poms, Windies or Indians, he would always have something to say to the bowlers, the fielders and even the umpire. He had a famous tiff with an umpire when the umpire cheated and Javed challenged his decision.

He was a fantastic batsman as well. That sly look and cunning thing is, I think the most intimidating in cricket.

Yes, Viv Richards was a fine hitter of the cricket ball.

At present, i would say Hayden,Dhoni & Symonds are the most powerful hitters of the damn cricket ball

I consider Hayden as the most intimidating batsman as he occasionally comes down the track and hit with lot of arrogance.

Agreed. The ORIGINAL Master Blaster Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards. (I think a lot of people on this blog do not have a proper appreciation for the man).
I do not mean to copy but Hayden and Gilchrist also wouldn't be that far behind.
Size to some effect = intimidation... Oram, Symonds
