Is anyone really as excited as the media seem to think we all are? Its only cricket. Hardly gets your heart racing like the day before the World Cup kicks off. As usual England will be hyped up, people who have no interest in cricket will get swept away in the euphoria (i.e. Wimbledon-like) and it will all be forgotten about within weeks of it finishing. Then we can get back to the footy.

India's yesterdays match against SA, Once again bad show from the top order. Just all out for 90 odd runs, with 8 wickets falling for just 28 runs!. Its really a pathetic condition to see how unconfident the India team!. Even i am the number one suppoter for Team India. But, when we see such things happening consistently for the past few months, really something is wrong in the India Team.

Jason Gillespie has been dropped after he scored a double-hundred in Australia's last appearance. Is this a first? Anyone recall a player being dropped after a very good "record-book" performance? I belive Naraendra Hirwani of India never played again, in spite of the fact that he picked 6 wickets in an innings in his last appearance.

As an Englihman in my 30's, I'm somewhat embarrassed to say I don't really know the rules of cricket. Can someone help me, especially with the scoring system and when people say 347 for 3. Help me! Points awarded for an easy to understand non-patrionising answer!

I think the best batsmen who can plan well in this kind of situation are Shewag, Sachin, Sourav, Laksman and Dravid. The best bowlers were Agarkar and Kumble.

Yesterday we have only Sachin and Dravid to save the team. In a very good bowling pitch, it is foolish to depend on only 2 batsmen out of 7.

All the other batsmen don’t have good experience in this kind of bouncing pitches. It is obvious that are we going to loose.

It is not a wise move to play against such a good team with only young players. All criticism should go to the Selection committee.
