i just got my boxing stuff 5 days ago and i have alredy fought.. i have got a bloddy nose but i love 2 boxx.. my friends r having a tourny SATURDAY.. im 12 and dey r 13 i kno i can beat 2 of em but 1 of em is bout 6 foot 4 and is all muscle and i need some game startegy of wat 2 do.. cause i kno he can knock me out easilu and i aint scared of em but i kno i will lose 2 em .. wat do i do???

I secretly LOVE boxing, but I don't let anyone know, except for a few close friends that I used to go to school with, and my aunt's brother (not my dad). My aunt's brother won't buy me boxing gloves, even if I give him the money, and I can't let my family know that I like to box. It would ruin my image. However, when we go to Costco, right across from it is a Sports Authority where I often go when my parents are checking out to look at and feel and try on the boxing gloves. I don't want to wait for my driver's licensce. I had one idea, but it was risky. I thought that I could go there and buy the gloves and maybe something else, wrap them well in plastic bags, and say it is a Christmas present. Should I try this? Or do you have another idea?

Arthur is from Jacksonville Fl. He came to Detroit where he met a lady named Willie Ruth Thomas in which a son was born. He worked out at Motor City Boxing Club of Detroit,He was nicknamed TIGER or BICYCLE WRIFGT because of his quickness . I would love to know which site to go to for more research.

I've been doing Muay Thai for over three years and I hardly use my hands skill in Muay Thai because I end up get my a55 hand to me if I try. However so far in boxing sparring, even against experienced boxer, I doesn't have much trouble to box with them. What could be causing this? Is it because I watch for kicks too much to use my hands effectively or what?

I think so.
Here's a guy that was taken from a dead end life, nurtured and trained from a very young age by one of the greatest trainers in boxing history - introduced to the right people, injected into the sport at the right time, matched against the right opponents, basically had everything mapped out for him - and still managed to blow it.

In his career, Tyson made about 400 million dollars, but now he's 200 million dollars in debt, with no way to pay it back.
How the f**k does someone do that?
And I'm tired of people blaming Don King and the myriad of hangers-on that he had around him. Mike Tyson is a grown man in control of his own faculties. It was his choice to have those people there. Whatever happened to personal responsibilty?

My trainer said i should wait 6 months before sparring....so how long after my first sparring session would i have to wait to fight? And how many sparring sessions are ideal before fighting?

Obviously it will depend a lot on my progress, but im talkin on average?
