I would have to go with Ali. While Tyson had pure punching power there is no way he could have kept pace with Ali in his prime, and you can't hit what you can't catch. Ali would have worn Tyson down.
I prefer Ali hands down.

Muhammad Ali is one of the all time greatest fighters. He had amazing boxing ability, a long reach, a fast jab, fantastic footwork, and stamina. He always stayed in control during his fights and against very tough opponents. I never liked Ali particularly because of his boastfullness but I admired his skills nonetheless. Tyson on the other hand looked unbeatable early in his career with a devastating punch and very menacing fighter. But Iron Mike just could not handle things on a personal manner and sometimes would lose control in the ring which started his downfall. In this fight I see Ali frustrating Tyson with those stinging jabs and tying him up when he comes in. He would frustrate Mike and win a comfortable decision.

Ali.
Intimidation was Tyson's biggest weapon. even more than his actual power. Ali wouldn't fear Tyson. How could he when he's been in the ring with the punchers he's had. The only way Tyson could win if the ref got scared intimedated after Tyson landed a couple shots and prematurely stopped it.

ali by late round ko or dq.tyson got frustrated if you got past a couple of rounds with him.ali had maybe the best chin in heavyweight history once he grew into his body.ali would box him from a distance while talking trash to him, getting tyson angrier and angrier but it would not matter if ali could take ernie shavers frazier and foremans' punch he could take tysons best punch.by the late rounds tyson would be busted up and frustrated and the ref would either stop the fight because tyson would be taking too much punishment or tyson would start looking for a way out and start fouling and get dqed.

Mike Tyson vs Muhammad Ali
I would personally pick Muhammad Ali for the
following reasons:
1) Ali's superior boxing skills, most notably his jabbing style
and accurancy
2) Ali's endurance and ability to take a punch. Lets face it
Ali could take a punch better than anyone else in boxing history.
Ali won alot of his later fights in 15 round decisions.
3) His pride and desire to win by outlasting and outfighting
his oppenents no matter what it took.
This one is a no brainer. Tyson only has a chance in the minds of his most diehard fans. Seeing that Ali was never dropped for a full count and fought several guys who hit as hard or harder than Tyson (Foreman, Shavers, Lyle) I don't even think Tyson even has much of a puncher's chance. With his mentality and lack of size size, there's no way he outsmarts or outboxes Ali. This fight would actually be kind of dissapointing. Not very competitive after round four or five.

Ali would box him to death before stopping him late in the fight. of course Mike can hit and he would have a chance, but both of them in their primes Ali's skills were far greater than Mike's and Ali's power was underrated. Ali would win!

I like Tyson too, but it's Ali all the way.
BTW, I agree with "Ric Zenbach"; this question has been on here too many times!!!
Okay who would win between Rosie Odonnell and Star Jones?
