Arthur is from Jacksonville Fl. He came to Detroit where he met a lady named Willie Ruth Thomas in which a son was born. He worked out at Motor City Boxing Club of Detroit,He was nicknamed TIGER or BICYCLE WRIFGT because of his quickness . I would love to know which site to go to for more research.

I found an Art Wright 15(6ko)-17-0, fought from 52 to 62 from detroit. Didn't have alias for him listed, nor did it have birthplace. but could be a match. All early fights were in midwest(detroit) all fights after 1957 were in California. Sound like the one you're looking for.

Joe Louis was from Detroit, fought in the 50's and fought for a while at light heavyweight.
