the only reaon he gets 11 assists a game is because he has 2 other ALL-STARS on his team in stoudimire and marion and two potential all-star in diaw and barbosa its like a mini-all-star team, kirk hinrich/allen iverson/andre miller/jason kidd would all put up the same stats with that kind of supporting cast, john stockton had alot more assits than steve nash and nevber won the mvp award, take nash away from the suns and their still gonna win 50 game, im saying saying nash sucks, but he is in no way shape or form in the top 10 players in the nba.

I'm thinking Vince in terms of hops and flexibility and speed all together but Rip ha,ilton can run all day and rarely misses games cos he is so tough. what do u think?

It just seems like to me that the Mavs are not getting enough respect for the GREAT basketball that they play. In fact, the best in the NBA currently. Why is this?? They set record after record, win game after game, and still people are still not satisfied that they are they can win the championship, or dirk can win the MVP, which in my mind, people should have NO dought in their mind that he would win. I mean come on, look how successful his team is right now!!! People still think that Steve Nash or Kobe will win, but I don't see their teams winning 49 games and only losing 9. Ugh. Anybody else agree?

when players like these get hurt there should be a red flag in the nba as to who should be allowed to play. I believe that the nba should mandate a minimum of a b.a, because who knows how long a player will last professionally. What if Lebron blows out his acl, mcl, and pcl during a fastbreak? sure he has his endoresments now, but what will happen if he's forced to retire and nike decides to pull the plug on him. All I'm saying is, life is uncertain, and if you want a secure future finish school, 'cause you might end up like Shaun Livingston.

I'm Pretty Sure If You Watch ESPN You Saw What Happened. What Happened To His Knee Was Sick. When I Saw That I Cringed And My Toes Curled. It Was Like His Knee Was A Toothpick And It Snapped. I'm Sure His MCL And ACL Are Gone, And All His Cartilage Is Torn. In My Opinion, I Say The Man's Career Is Down The Drain. I Jus Wanna Know What Other People Think. Does Anybody Think He'll Come Back?

Who are some great athletes who were denied the big one?.
my pick (and not just because I'm a Jazz fan) would have to be
John Stockton. The man revolutionized the point guard position and
in his prime was unmatched (Is'nt his all-time assists AND steal records good evidence) dispite it all Stockton was denied ( I mostly blame the Bulls) a ring. Other names that come to mind: Chris Mullin, Karl Malone, Reggie Miller and Patrick Ewing.

I live in Wester Illinois (Macomb, IL). On the Chicago Bulls Schedule, it says the game is on WGN but there is some random program on WGN. This is like the 3rd or 4th time it has happened. Why am I not getting the Bulls game?

Well, I was given a task to write an essay on "Salary Cap Advantages"
I just need to provide 3 evidences for the following point:
1) Salary cap evens out the teams so that there's always a fair competition between the teams.
2) Salary cap prevents jealousy.
3) It also helps keep the price down.

The above are points that i have come up with. Evidences need to be provided. Please share your knowledge with me. Thanks.

For some stats for you guys to make your decision, Maryland has won 6 straight games, 3 on the road, has beaten 14th ranked Duke once at home and once at Duke, has beaten #8 North Carolina, has averaged 81 points in their streak, has averaged giing up 69 points, and has played a very tough ACC schedule. We also had this streak right at the right time, at the end of the regular season to gain momentum into the post-season and right when we were on the verge of missing the NCAA tournament.

My 10 year old daughter plays bb each season with community programs. She has played for 3 years. I am going to encourage her to play thru high school. She loves it and is good at it etc., and getting better each year.

I am clueless however about how to groom her so that come college time, recruiters will notice her. I am not nor have ever been athletic or into sports. I am a single parent. I am hoping that with some prep that maybe someday she can go to college free on a sports (basketball) scholarship. But I don't know if thats something a kid can prepare for or is it more luck? What do we need to do to prep? Am I just dreaming here? Can anyone provide me some insight.
