For some stats for you guys to make your decision, Maryland has won 6 straight games, 3 on the road, has beaten 14th ranked Duke once at home and once at Duke, has beaten #8 North Carolina, has averaged 81 points in their streak, has averaged giing up 69 points, and has played a very tough ACC schedule. We also had this streak right at the right time, at the end of the regular season to gain momentum into the post-season and right when we were on the verge of missing the NCAA tournament.

No doubt about itwith Vasquez and his assists average going up, DJ's overall play, and Bombale Osby's clutch rebounding stats over the last three or four games, and James Gist's solid play this is why they are the hottest team in the country, hands down

They are the hottest team. Peaking at the right time. Similar run to the 2001 team that lost to Duke in the final four.

i think they are the hottest team right now only because they have beaten solid teams in their streak, and they have a ton of momentum because of they way they have won those games, such as the comeback they made against unc...i'm picking them just ahead of memphis as the hottest team, since memphis has put together the longest winning streak in the nation this year at 18 games in a row but have played weak opponents in that time

They are hands down the hottest team in the country right now. Perfect timing too since the tourney is coming up. They are going to be very tough to beat in march madness. Strawberry will have to play very well, as well as Ibekwe for them to actually compete for a title.

They have been on fire lately. If they can hold on to beat OSU or Winsconsin they should win it all. Their offensive and defensive game is on fire. They should go far to the chamopionship or lose 1 game before.
