This may happen in little league play, but suppose it happens in adult leagues? I believe that if he causes an interference with his bat he may be called out, otherwise as soon as he reaches first base the bat must be retrieved.

I am a big fan but had all but given up on them a week and a half ago, they are making me pay with this run on the Cards.

Why is it that every year the Texas Rangers do well for a while, then management suddenly forgets that pitching matters and trades the heart or soul of the team for a couple of non-pitchers, making for a long second half. Nothing against the ones traded for, but please! I can hardly take this any more.

Is there a way to really get this message out? Someone just pat me on the back and say it will be ok. A Red Sox fan, maybe?

with the playoff races going down to the wire here in the NL, what is the scenario if this happens: phillies, dodgers, padres all tie with the same record. would the padres and dodgers play a one game playoff and the loser play the phils for the wild card? this seems like the most logical answer.

I was at a white sox game, and a photographer approached us and asked to take our picture. He handed us a card listing the website and instructions for viewing the pics. I lost the card, and am hoping someone can provide me with the site. Thanks!

I am working with troubled youth, who have expressed an interest in sports. I was hoping that someone could tell me about any current baseball stars who had overcome poverty or legal issues in thier youth. Thank you so much for the help.

Please only helpfull advice... We are working with rookies this year little leaguers we have won 1 game and lost badly last night.. we have had a total of 3 pratices and 2 games we have 12 kids only half want to listen and pay attention.. The other half play in the dirt and chase bugs on the field why? In practice we go over and over what they need to be doing in reflection of this doing this last night they got creamed 12 to 4 so my question is what can we do as a TEAM to pay more attention and get with the program because when they are on it they are GOOD....

I know that weather can stop a tied game. And from what I've seen with the All Star Game, I am assuming that if a team runs out of pitchers that they can end it (but I am not sure about that) so short of those situations, will a baseball game go on forever? How long is the longest MLB game?

Tigers & Yankees are tied at 95-62.

I know there are a couple of teams more likely to win i.e. Yankees (not a Yankees fan actually despise them, but they'll probably win)
but who do you want to win???
