The ***-tros would have won a world series a long time ago if they would keep their teams intact. They kept Bagwell and Biggio together, paying them huge contracts, way to long and never made a move on any of the quality players that have come through their system. Just recently they let Beltran go when all he did was win playoff games for you almost single handedly. This year they could have brought Miguel Tejada on a trade but instead kept Brad (walk-off) Lidge and the powerhouse hitter Adam Everett (that guy can't hit a softball). Every year it's the same thing with this crappy organization. They decide to show up and play the last month of the season and choke in the playoffs. Until the ownership gets rid of the good old boy mentality that commands your team, you will just be doormats for the rest of the league on their way to the World Series. If any of the teams in the league could compete at salaries it's Houston. The owners are some of the richest people in the world.

Oh it was nice. It bothers me that they can do it now. Why not in July? I hope so, but it would take a total meltdown of the Cards and I do not see that happening.
I think the pitching staff of Astros needs a close look. How long will Rodriquez keep screwing up? Pettitte is not much better. $ innings and he has to sit down? Not impressed.
The guys are doing great, for now we can just hope for the best.

Here we again fans Wednesday night 09/27 and it's the 11th inning and we are tied 6 - 6. Why do they do me this way ? I'm all tied up: If it happens it says more about the Nat. Central than much about the 'stros. At first we weren't deep in sticks. Now
we have the sticks. If the pitching can hold up we'll see if a blind hog can find a baseball.

They have great ptiching if all are healthy and pitch to their potentioal with Clemens, Pettite, Backe, Oswalt, Lidge. Their offense isnt grtat. They have Willie Tavares who gets on base a ton and the only one who drrives him is Berkman. And the Cardinals have lost 7 straight games so the door is wide open. Could they make it to the playoffs? Of couse, will they? Im saying no but they definately can.

its possible The Cards are the king of clutch though. The Cards had a 2 game lead over the Reds and they did nothing to get ahead.

Not unless the Reds can leap-frog them, but I think the Cards will come out of their funk and win the divison. I am no longer worried about the wildcard.
