Hey, Im a huge fan of F1. Somehow, and without realizing it, I can probably name all the technical directors, top engineers, and technical innovations. Wicked. But I recently read that Alonso once said that he no longer sees F1 as a sport. I've started to think that he may be right, and that the whole things a sham. I dont mind commenators going off on one about mass dampers, traction control and tyre rulings but whats the point. For years we heard about tobacco sponsorship being crucial but now Honda doesn't even have sponsors. Top teams spent $200 mil a year on engines each last year but cosworth did a half-decent job with just $15 mil. Is this all a marketing ploy, is this apparent engineering redundancy necessary? Is this actually a sport if we have no indication as to how a good a driver actually is, or that certain drivers get a job because of their nationality/image?

That cracks me up. How can a customer car, beat the factory team? With all of the money honda spends, they must really be feeling kind of stupid right now. I do not like super aguri. but I think its good they are having some success. Anthony Davidson is a great driver. I raced in karts against him a few times, and he is very talented. But, I REALLY do not like Takuma Sato. He is pretty much the same as all the other japanese drivers in f1, a moving chicane. He is ok in qualifying, but as soon as there is another car near him, I think he is somehow magnetized to hitting them. Anyways, I bet poor old Jensen Button is pretty pissed at his team right now, and rightfully so! Hopefully they can gain some power, and beat the super aguris. Otherwise, I have a feeling honda will be sending the repo man to the aguri factory!

I have:
1st. Massa
2nd. Raikkonen
3rd. Hamilton

I think alonso is going to have an engine failure, from trying to keep up with the ferraris. My darkhorse for the podium is Kubica.

When is formula one on and what channel? Plus what are some of the highlight tracks to watch? Like for us nascar fans it is mostly on Sunday afternoons. And our highlight tracks are Bristol and Daytona.
I have seen F1 fans slam nascar in our forum many times and also I have seen nascar fans slam yours. I just love racing period and dont get exposed to the F1 world that much so I want to watch some races just to see. Plus what are the differences between F1 series and Indy series?

F1 fans claim that F1 is better than NASCAR.
????
What are you smoking??
400,000 people watched the Brickyard 400 live, fewer than 150,000 watched the US Grand Prix at the same track.
No F1 event in history has ever sold 400,000 tickets.
Picture yourself doing 120 in car entering a 180 degree turn over no more than 250 feet.
Would you prefer to be in a 3500lb car with steel brakes, a 6" spoiler and 9' wheels or a 1400 lb car with carbon fibre brakes, a front wing, a rear wing that measures around 18"x72" and tires over 12" in width?.
Now, throw in 42 of your best buddies and have them join you two and three rows wide.
You will not see that in F1.
There were more passes for the lead at the 2000 fall Talladega race than in an entire F1 season.

Do you guys know of a relatively good website to buy F1 apparel and hats. I looked at the official F1 Store...honestly never thought it was possible $500 Carbon Fiber Mousepad. But it was just way too expensive. All the other sites seemed kinda wierd. Anybody have any advice or ordered stuff and had a good experience
