I'm currently in San Francisco and just realised I dont get the channel here that's showing the Australian Grand Prix this weekend - does anyone know of any internet sites that I could watch it on? Preferably for free?!

I dont think so. Really.
Speed and sometimes ABC.. but most likely Speed will broadcast the race.
I would recommend you to go to a friends place and watch it there. or a F1 bar. Although i know time difference can be a little of a problem.
good luck

Mmm.... If i Lived anywhere near the Bay area I could probably invite you over to see it at my place with my friends or watch it in a sports bar. It's going to be amazing, first race of the season! Cisco time, I think the race will be around your 7 pm Saturday.
And no, you won't find any website that broadcasts the race. It's Bernie's business.
Good luck anyway!

You can download sopcast or tvants. There are 2 Chinese channels on Sopcast that usually broadcast F1 : Guangdong and Star Sports. You do need a fast connection for this AND make sure you connect in advance, as lots of cricket fans and F1 fans will connect to the network this weekend.

Oh, and usually there's a delay between the race and the broadcast itself - I think it's a few minutes to half an hour. You should first try it tonight - with qualifying and if it works for you, you know when to tune in for the race.

Cheers.

they have live timing and scoring on the formula1.com website. Other than that, speed is the only channel actually showing it.
