I am a direct descendant of Mary Queen of Scots, King James I, Charles I, and Charles II, but of course, this is through an illegitimate line. However, there have been many people who have had been said to have had a rightful claim to the Scottish throne even though their line was illegitmate seeing as how the Royal Stuart line went extinct, legitimately-wise, but has lived on through illegitimate lines. An example of a person who had Royal Stuart ancestry is Princess Diana.

Will she live as long as her mum, or reign as long as Victoria? Will Charles be elderly when he gets the throne, and become one of the shortest reigning monarchs ever?

Will we rightly use the glorious opportunity to ELECT a commoner for our first president when she shuffles off this mortal coil?

I'm writing ANOTHER fantasy story that takes place back in the medieval times. There is a fourteen-year-old maiden named Magdalin (Maggie) who lives in a kingdom called Esperalda, and she's tired of her father always telling her that women are only there to clean and cook for their husbands. After her mother dies, Maggie takes this is a que to run away from home. She stays with her best friend Clarence for the first week for some help and support. The main reason for her departure is because she wants freedom, and also because she wants to find a husband, but one who is sweet kind and down-to-earth and won't make her do all the work. She thinks she finds the right guy in the town she travels to, but it turns out he just wanted her for her money. She then discovers that her heart will lead her back home to Esperalda to marry Clarence. Feedback, please, and some ideas to make it more original?????

I just saw an old documentary, made before Charles and Camilla were married. The speaker was implying that "if they ever get married, the British people won't accept her...especially the idea that she would inevitably become Queen one day" Now that they have been married for about 2 years, how do you feel about that ? Have you softened towards her...and do you feel that other Brits have done so? Just interested . Here in Australia it seems to be, "she's OK, no problem" . Just interested in how you feel over in your part of the world.

I know that Prince Charles has a large income from the Duchy of Cornwall. How does he collect money from that? Is it through his lands, or rents?

Please elaborate. Her Royal Highness, as you know, has reached another milestone: the oldest British monarch alive or dead. Over the past 55 years, she apparently has become accustomed to the rich benefits of sitting on the Throne - NO, get your mind out of the toilet! And there's her poor firstborn, fidgeting in the wings with Camilla. She's the one in the background; Charles is over there, yes, the one who looks like an impatient horse, stamping his feet outside Buckingham Palace.

Very sad. Especially if the old bat outlives him.

I know she has the best healthcare in England, but there has been a lot of inbreeding in the Royal Family over the years and there have been several genetic conditions that were have supposed to have come from Queen Victoria, such as diabetes, haemophilia, etc. and inbreeding can create new diseases.
