No contest-- Diana.
Camilla and Charles were kidding themselves if they truly thought they could live just as friends-- and they caught Diana right in the middle of it.

Neither, both were not true to their marriage vow's. (Charles wasn't either, but that isn't in the question). Whoever decided not to allow Charles to marry Camilla (prior to his meeting Diana) did a disservice to Charles and the country. But once the decision was taken both had the duty and obligation to stay apart. Forgetting all the crap about true love ETC. Vows are made so they need to be kept. If you cannot keep them then get your divorce before you start to play around.
The same is true of Diana and Charles. When Diana married into the "FIRM" she must have known what she was getting into. They (the Royal Family) are,and have to be looked upon from another standard. If Diana could not accept that then she should not have married Charles.
Finally why do people harp on about looks? Great one is better looking than the other, (but isn't it in the eye of the beholder). What should count is what benefits there are for each person, especially in such a marriage, which affects the whole country.

As Diana has been dead these ten years, I don't think she is much of a choice. Camilla seems to be fun, lively and witty and would make an excellent companion.
They are not Princess Diana or Princess Camilla but Diana/Camilla, Princess of Wales.

Princess Diana hands down. Princess Di was classy, compassionate, and an all around good person. I think you can see her personified in her sons. They might get in trouble once in a while but you can't say they are bad individuals. I think Camilla doesn't have class. I think anyone who would stoop so as to be a married man's mistress has no class.

Diana may have been pretty and compassionate but she also was reported to be bad tempered, not well educated, and according to what Charles told some of his friends, no mental heavyweight either.
