Here are my beliefs:
I do not believe that Jesus was the Son of God.
I do strongly believe in God.
I think that Heaven and Hell are a state of mind (technically not real, just whatever we want it to be).
I believe we are reunited with our loved ones when we die and we are eventually reincarnated to live another life.
I think the Bible is just a beautifully written story, nothing more.
I believe we were put on this earth for a special reason, a destiny we were meant to fulfill.
I do not believe that there is a 'Satan' but I do believe in evil spirits, demons, etc.

Any insight would be great. I was raised a Catholic, but my parents raised me to be open-minded so this is just a compliation of a few of my main beliefs.

Thank you!

Why is it right for us to be guilty of someone else's sin at our birth? Why are we not guilty of everyone's sin then?

Is it possible?
After all, Satan was overcome with the desire to sin, even while in God's heavenly embrace in Heaven.

I saw a show (csi) the other day and the last few words of the show were between a beliver and an unbeliver..the unbeliver made an implication that he did not belielve in God but then the beliver said to him "sir you may not belive in God, but you do His work"

This was such a great point and now I see why it is so important for us christians (which means anointed ones) to constantly be full of AGAPE (love) at all times to everybody especially nonbelivers. Gods word says all thing work to the good and that athiest or back slidden chritian even still deserves to be treated with much love and respect.

Christians beware, one of the sins of the heart we tend to commit that show what day and age we are in, is when peoples "love and compassion for others will wax cold" so should us God fearing Christians be more careful of how we speak against and treat others ESPECIALLY nonbelivers that base our actions on what Christianity is "supposed to be all about?"

In a place like paradise/heaven where there is eternal life and supposedly eternal happiness as promised by a God....

How are you going to recognise happiness after a while if you cannot compare it to anything? Wouldn´t this happiness just flow out into a grey matter of meaningless nothing?

How long can this argument be used by Christians before they open their eyes and realize that yes indeed what they call "truth" is in fact Judgement.

Talking about religion, this is a very sensitive thing that can't be commented or criticized because this can lead to conflict and friendship loss no matter that religion is reasonable or not. For example, people in the past DEEPLY believed that disease came from the will of god so they SERIOUSLY performed a ceremony for the god to be satisfied and blessed them with no disease. But nowadays we know the disease comes from virus or bacteria. So just take medical treatment can cure it with no use to perform any ceremony. Suppose we have time machine and went to the past when people DEEPLY believed in god of disease and told them about medicine and the unnecessity to perform ceremony, it'd be a good bet that you would be killed. So religion is an EXTREMELY SENSITIVE thing no matter it is reasonable or not. Can u tell me which religion is the most reasonable, scientific and applicable to the law of nature? I think it is Buddhism. I really have a pity on those who get to the wrong belief.

I have an idea of my own and I want your opinions. Tell, me your idea and I will give mine later, so please check back.

Please keep it to a single thing you could do (that is possible and practical).

Some examples (but not the thing I'm looking for):

Recycling.

Driving less/commuting.

Living off the grid.

Going vegetarian.

(These are just random examples, tell me your idea).

I know it does not seem like this question is related to R&S, but I believe the answer has religious implications.

How would the wise men know how to follow the new star? How could they tell if it was directly above the stable, or if it was directly above the next town. And if it was in the distance, how would they know when to stop?
