all things work to the good?

I saw a show (csi) the other day and the last few words of the show were between a beliver and an unbeliver..the unbeliver made an implication that he did not belielve in God but then the beliver said to him "sir you may not belive in God, but you do His work"

This was such a great point and now I see why it is so important for us christians (which means anointed ones) to constantly be full of AGAPE (love) at all times to everybody especially nonbelivers. Gods word says all thing work to the good and that athiest or back slidden chritian even still deserves to be treated with much love and respect.

Christians beware, one of the sins of the heart we tend to commit that show what day and age we are in, is when peoples "love and compassion for others will wax cold" so should us God fearing Christians be more careful of how we speak against and treat others ESPECIALLY nonbelivers that base our actions on what Christianity is "supposed to be all about?"

I know there is no grey area it is either bad or good yet when Jesus confronted people whom He knew were dead wrong like the woman with 5 husbands he STILL treated her with respect, and all I am saying is for us to be a Christ like example

WOW IL Padrion NO way way I trying to lessen the severity this is just one point i think you are reading too far into what I am saying. Sure Hell is real and if you die in your sins no matter how many favors you do for somebody you still go. But how many Christians do you think will go for calling them selves a Chritstian and doing the Devils work in their own inner hearts. Read Romans 1& 2 those that know the law will be held accountable under the law..but what about the people in africa that never heard of Jesus do they just burn? What about the Athiest that was never exposed (per say)..well The bible tells us He make Himself know to all men ..so the African bush tribe as said in Romans have a light within (some people call it a consience) that if they sin against the light within them they sin against thier own souls. A person who knows the law will get far worse punishment in hell than one who knew not the Law The Jew first, then the Gentile.

I understand what your saying. I'm a teen in school and last Christmas a non-believer had got me in a lot of trouble and i was kick out of certain clubs. In the end it did work out to be good for me I couldn't see it then and now I see it. They took the offense off my record in the end. But I did show compassion to the person even after what she did. She is one of my best friends she attend church with me regularly.

Sorry, but if you're not a Christian, then you can't do the work of God. You are just doing things of your own will and not God's will.
It is true that many non believers are doing good things, but that doesn't mean they're doing God's work.
As for love, you show it by telling people the truth.
If you look at how Christ handled non-believers, He always told them that they needed to change their lives to serve God or they cannot please Him or be His disciple.

I think you're trying to lessen the severity of the gospel by patting non-believers on the back and telling them they're good to go, when they still need Christ in their lives.

You are correct that we need to treat others with respect and love, but don't let that hinder you from telling them the truth of the gospel.

Yes you are correct, But we should not compromise the Gospel which is abundantly clear on sin. A person must repent of his sin to call Jesus their Lord . We must not wink at sin because God does not wink at it. Yes we must be kind and loving, but we must firmly rebuke all sin when ever and where ever appropriate. Treating someone with love and respect does not mean embracing or ignoring their sin. Of course this doesn't mean we have to beat them on the head with our Bibles, but when we witness we must be clear that sin is the problem , and Christ crucified is the solution. I didn't see this particular episode, but I assume the non-believer was doing good or charitable work. By calling this "God's Work" implies, to me anyways, that no good work existed until Christianity came along. That isn't a very good argument at all. People were doing good things long before they started believing in God.

Yes, we must be in the world, but not of it. "All things work for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose" If we can live that way, called according to His purpose by showing the love, caring, forgiveness and compassion He showed, what a difference we can make.

So yes, all things work together for good, but only if we are called according to His purpose, not our own.

"All things work together for good, to those who trust in God and acknowledge Him in All their ways". So, we have a responsibility don't we? Firstly, IF we acknowledge God and give to Him the respect He deserves, and trust in Him, then we can be certain and sure, that all things in our life, are, can and WILL, work together for GOOD!
