Kris you are a provocative little stirrer. Got em all going now. My God is special and loves you all. Go to the slums in Kathmandu and see how the special Christian God deals with impoverished Buddhists and Hindu's. If love is Absolute then Love forgives absolutely therefore the Absolute is Love and has no basis in the duality of human language and narrative. No judgement; no blame; no retribution; no devil, no hell or purgatory and so on. You can't have love that discriminates and if it does it is not love. Therefore every dogma that utilizes judgement and retribution is wrong, wrong ,wrong. No wonder these guys fight amongst themselves for supremacy. Only someone living in doubt would peddle themselves as knower's of absolute truth. Understanding only comes through non-judgement compassion and Absolute Forgiveness. If you know the infinite then you realize that every finite mind that lays claim to knowledge of infinity is a finite product of its prejudices and attachments. We have these guys going to war in the name of God. What an abomination. The western narrative is so corrupt as to have lost all relevance for the future.That is not to say the East is any better. Dead mens ideas are finished in an epoch of unfolding potentiality so far beyond the religious imagination. We need intelligence and innovation and a concept of love and the Absolute relevant to the modern world. Tradition and conservatism will fail under the weight of accelerated change and innovation. This younger generation must construct a new and revisionary paradigm free from the constraints of dogma and authority. These dills do not want you to think for yourself. Get your infinite thinking cap on and travel the highway of infinite diversity and potentiality.

God loves everybody equally. There are times when people feel that God doesn't love them or is not there with them because they can only see the things that are wrong in their lives, and they don't see the blessings we have in God even in the most difficult times. The mere fact that we are able to see a new day every morning is something we should be thankful to God for. The fact that he blesses everyone the same way proves he is a just and equal God, having absolutely no preference over a certain kind of people. He is creator God and loves everyone equally. That's what I can observe from what I've seen God do in my life.

It depends on which theological view you take. The Calvinist view is that Jesus only died for the elect - people specially chosen by God - and anyone who is not part of this elect group is doomed to hell - because if you aren't one of the elect it is impossible for you to believe. This view says to me that God only loves a few, and that God condemns us to hell, without ever giving us a chance to choose him.
The other view is that of the Arminian Christian (Methodists generally take this view) Who believe that Christ died for ALL people so that we ALL have the opportunity to be saved. This view teaches that God lets us make the decision, to choose life through Christ, or to reject him. This view accepts that We can't come to God on our own since we are so sinful - so God makes the first move and stirs us toward him, but he lets us make the decision whether or not we believe - this is in contrast to the Calvinist view mentioned previously which teaches that if you are on of Gods elect, it is impossible for you to reject Christ.
please note both views believe there is an elect. Its just Calvinists teach that God has hand picked these people (and thus hand picked for hell the others) Whereas the Arminian view is that these people are elect in the sense that God has foreknowledge of who will choose to accept him and stay faithful.

No, God doesn't pick anyone. You have the choice to make and only you can make that choice. You either love and worship and live for God as Jesus Christ said we should and be saved and have eternal life with peace, joy, and happiness. Or you choose to live as you wish and refuse Jesus salvation and die and go to hell's torment and punishment for eternity.

there is a sense in which God loves everyone in the whole world. this love in not conditional – it is based only on the fact that God is a God of love. God’s love for all of mankind results in the fact that God shows his mercy by not immediately punishing people for their sins..if God did not love everyone, we would all be in hell right now. God’s love for the world is manifested in the fact that he gives people the opportunity to repent

Yes, He does. That's why Jesus talked in parables, thats why He hated Esau, that's the message of the Potter in Romans 9 says, that's why He had the Israelites kill an entire people, that's why Sodom was destroyed, that's why He said through Isaiah:
Isaiah 8:14
and he will be a sanctuary;
but for both houses of Israel he will be
a stone that causes men to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.
And for the people of Jerusalem he will be
a trap and a snare.
EDIT: There are so many apparent 'Christian' answers, and yet they do not know Him. This sucks.

Loving isn't only infatuation or adulation. it particularly is information and cherishing. particularly understanding oneself and having compassion for oneself is the backside of having compassion for others. yet we could love the species with out accepting what persons or the species do. Then in basic terms self-understanding can provide us the boldness to make possibilities, and act.
