while claiming Christians do not care about Atheism?

I was raised a Christian and was for the first 18 years of my life. I studied the Bible and know many of the stories very well. I understood how all the major and minor prophets fit into the context of the storyline.

Then I went to college, began to look at some of the stories without the patronizing eye of my parents and Christian leaders, and left the religion.

I am an agnostic (I believe that whether or not there is a god is inherently unknowable). I know that there are many Christians who ARE obsessed with atheism and see it as this great evil in the world. Yes, there are many Atheists who want to disprove Christianity, but I know there are many Christians who want to prove themselves right using science and other methods since I was one of them once.

I do not go out of my way to prove or disprove God. I do not feel threatened by either side since I've heard no convincing arguement from either.

Is doing magic a sin? if it is where does it say that in the Holy Bible?

All I have found is that if someone doesn't do it they are ten times better than the one that does it. Daniel 1:20

Why don't good peaceful Muslims ever speak out against the Radical Muslims? They're giving your religion a terrible name.

Do you think there are situations where the ends can justify the means? For instance the classic 'stealing bread to feed a starving dependant'... or is this reasoning always flawed?

(this is a question asked and given only four answers. I think it is a good question)

Earlier today, I saw an argument that Hitler was not a Christian, because he accepted the writings of Aleister Crowley. Why is this true? Plato, and Socrates were Pagan's, and almost all Christians follow their writings.

I thought a Christian only had to accept Christ as messiah and son of God? By your logic, was Dion Fortune not a Christian, despite the fact Christ permeated her writings?

If somebody looks his way, he thinks the person is looking at HIM!
If two people are talking, he thinks they're talking about HIM! If
two people share a laugh, he thinks they're laughing at HIM!

I've run into too many Christians now who have basically told me something along the lines of "You go on being an atheist. When I'm in heaven and you're in hell, I'll be laughing at you." Why do they think they are superior human beings?

This is a real question. Maybe you would call it a personal "code of conduct" or something else. Do you base it on experience, the 10 commandments ( not a trick question. you don't have to believe in God to think the comandments are a good idea) or something else?
For us to function in a society we have acceptable forms of behavior ( other then the law )

"Paradoxically, a person who exhibits such tremendous ego and self-confidence in reality has such low self-esteem and such a fragile ego that he cannot abide any expression other than his own, for fear of annihilation of the self. Therefore everything that is not under his control is perceived as a threat."

Wasn't the USA a culture that was originally based on freedom and basic civil rights for all? Weren't we WRONG when our laws allowed the hateful and ignorant treatment of African-Americans... who- at one time- weren't allowed to drink from the same water fountain as white people? Whatever happened to live and let live? What ever happened to separation of church and state?
