Judaism, in your analogy, is xerox. Xerox invented the windows operating system (even before Mac), but now not many people use it.
You could also compare Judaism to Macintosh. There are less Mac's, but they work better, and are far more efficient then Microsoft. It usually seems to be Macintosh that is on the cutting edge of technology...Microsoft just mass markets their innovations. Also...Macintosh's technical support stinks.

The comparison of Judaism to predecessors of Microsoft is incorrect. Judaism is a religion unto itself, and still very active and relevant. It has not been improved upon or succeeded by others, nor made obsolete. This kind of comparison is bigoted and arrogant.
A better way of seeing this is to compare Christianity to Microsoft is to see them as both having been extremely successful in marketing and able to monopolize their respective markets in the Western world. The comparative company would be an old well known mom and pop establishment that has a loyal following and doesn't advertise.

I'm an atheist, but in my humble opinion buddhism is the Microsoft of all religions, the Dalai Lama is Bill Gates and most of the other religions including all the Judaeo-Christian ones are viruses and worms.
