Well Steady, i have to say that Christians dont hate...and the ones saying that need to check their own status. I personally would hate the thought of you in hell....or anyone else. My fellow human....dont let man sway your opinion of God....Just look at nature, look at the stars, look at how wonderfully and awesome your own self is made....then ask yourself....could this all be for nothing and by chance....anyone that really looks around WILL realize there is a higher source than us and if that is true....maybe just maybe...this God thing could be real......

Dear Steady as she goes,
IF the greatest of these is love, what is the great east sin. NOBODY has the right to say you are going to hell that is mean and abusive. I am a christian who loves the Lord and so is my believed husband Steadfast7 our gifting is mercy, compassion and encouragement and sadly these are traits that people lack sad to say even believers in Christ. The only one who is superior is the Lord and certain people need to "get over themselves"
I would encourage you to read the Bible and see what God has to say about love and kindness start in the gospel of John.
Be encouraged be blessed and celebrate life and Peace be with you. Encourager 4 God and Steadfast7

I get an attitude of superiority from almost every atheist I've ever encountered.
I have no doubt that you get responses like this immediately after taunting Christians into a response.
For some reason, most Christians I know don't care what Atheists think or believe, but most Atheists are obsessed with Christianity and proving the Bible or God or Christians to be flawed or invalid or some other stupid thing with the worst of reasoning.
You may not be like this, I don't know. But pay attention. Watch what other Atheists post here and see for yourself.

Some people, christian or otherwise, think that if you don't believe the same as them, you are evil, or you won't be "saved". I get this a lot with my religion. Most Christians just can't see that message of Christ was to love our neighbor, no matter what they believe. I believe we each have a right to believe what we want. I don't want to convert you to my religion if you really aren't interested. And I don't think you are going to hell just because you don't believe the same thing as I do. That's just silly and a little ignorant as far as I'm concered. Believe what you want, just don't tell me that I think to be right is going to send me to hell. Those people aren't the judge or jury.
Sometimes I just laugh at the bible thumpers and just think to myself that it would be funny if they were the ones who ended up in trouble for their intolerance and ignorant attitude. Maybe Christ will yell at them for not following what He said. That would just take the cake wouldn't it?

Being a Christian isnt about being a superior being, its about being forgiven by God. Some Christians have a lot of pride and when atheists start taunting them, they taunt back.
The good news for us is that the basis of everything we do is based on love and when it comes to atheists you never know what youre goig to find, but mostly it is hatred they are motivated by.
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good -Romans 12:9

That's all they know. Like someone raised in the South has grown up knowing that black people are called n*ggers without really understanding why the term is offensive to people in Washington.
They are raised in Christianity, reinforced by it, punished by it, and ruled by it. They cannot imagine living without their faith, and one answer I saw said, "Without God, I would have no morals at all!" Now that's frightening to the rest of us!
I believe the majority are weak individuals who are so frightened of everything that they cling to religion like life's flotsam without ever realizing that there is dry land just a few feet away.

The real question is why does anyone hate? If it's not religion it's your skin. If not that it's your political affiliation, hair color, choice in music, football team, etc. Many people will always find some reason to differentiate themselves from and elevate themselves above others.

I can't believe people who would talk that way to you have really understood the grace of God in Christ. You say "too many". Of course, one is too many. But have you really run into a large number? Or has it been one, two, or three?
In any case, they do not represent true Christianity.

It is a violent human-hating religion. All the 'peace and love' stuff is just a front for their criminal activities.
They scream pro-life, but they become sexually excited by torture, war, and death.
They anticipate judgment day not so much to be with their mean SOB god (after all, why would anyone want to be around something that evil), but so they can watch and enjoy the the suffering and misery of their fellow man.

This is a bad example of Christians. If the love of God isn't in them, then the Bible clearly states that He/She is not a child of God.
It's a dreadful thing for someone to go to hell, its certainly not a laughing matter.
Im sorry that you have encountered such an experience.
