Where was Jesus born? Matthew tells us that Jesus was “born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king.” (Matthew 2:1) Physician Luke’s account confirms that fact, telling us regarding Jesus’ future adoptive father: “Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to David’s city, which is called Bethlehem, because of his being a member of the house and family of David, to get registered with Mary, who had been given him in marriage as promised, at present heavy with child.”
Why was it important that Jesus be born in Bethlehem rather than in Nazareth or any other town? Because of a prophecy uttered during the eighth century B.C.E. by the Hebrew prophet Micah: “And you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, the one too little to get to be among the thousands of Judah, from you there will come out to me the one who is to become ruler in Israel, whose origin is from early times, from the days of time indefinite.” (Micah 5:2) Thus, by his place of birth, Jesus held another of the credentials for being the promised Seed and Messiah.

No one knows. There are no records or contemporary accounts of when, where, or if he was ever born.
Same problem with his alleged life and death – no records, no eyewitness accounts.

There is no record or evidence that a place called Nazareth even existed at the time Jesus supposedly lived.
It is not among the detailed list of Galilee cities compiled by the Jewish historian Josephus.
It is never mentioned in the Old Testament.
It is not mentioned in any New Testament epistles.
The name first appears in a gospel written 40 years after Jesus’ alleged crucifixion.

He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, around by Newark Avenue. I was walking past the courthouse last year and a dirty homeless man asked me for money. I gave him ten dollars and he smiled and said "bless you". At that moment, his pupils in his eyes became crosses and that is when I knew I had met Jesus. Jesus was disguising himself as a homeless person to see if I would help him and I did. He tests us like that.
