How would you ship the bison back to America from Mt. Ararat once its all over? Shouldn't all animals show signs of inbreeding and high degrees of similarity among species if only two of each species survived? And finally, there were supposedly only eight people on the Ark. How did they take care of all the animals? Taking care of a small farm is difficult. Taking care of that many animals would not have been humanly possible.

Religious people, do you have answers? I don't.

Why do we give a crap about these people or their so-called civil rights? The only good sex offender is a dead one. I love how they get beaten to death or permanently disfigured by the other inmates - even other prisoners despise them.

Just curious as to what personally makes people believe in God, gods or other higher powers. What specifically made you choose to believe in a god, ie. signs, family pressure, peer pressure, fear of death, scientific evidence, etc... And do you really truly live your life according to your beliefs or only when the beliefs are convenient?

Could Noah's Ark really hold all the animals that were supposed to be preserved from Flood?

A growing number of scientists believe that geological evidence indicates our world has undergone a catastrophic flood. This is causing them to question whether or not the biblical account of Noah's ark could be true. Many people are rereading the Biblical description of the Ark to ascertain the feasibility of such a vessel to fulfill its designated purpose in light of present day knowledge of both zoology and our present day knowledge of shipbuilding.

Size comparison between average size one-story home and Noah's Ark. Illustration from The World that Perished.How big was Noah's Ark?

christians believe faith is right
scientologists believe faith is right

scientology was written by a science fiction author and people believed it

therefore people can believe false stories based on faith

bible = faith
faith = no evidence

no evidence + false stories + people who believe false stories = christianity.

Yet they were engaged, so wouldn't that be incestous? Or were they so distantly related that it didn't matter? If indeed they actually were?

(Asking this based on a reply to another question I saw)

If Noahs Ark really happened, why didn't the wolf eat the sheep and the lion eat the antalope, ect...? Were they all magical animals that loved eachother and only ate leaves?

For instance, you are obliged to stone your wife to death if you find that she is not a virgin on your wedding night. You are even encouraged to own slaves. In fact, you are obliged to stone to death those that do not believe in God. The bible is very clear that you must make sure that Atheists are stoned to death. (Leviticus 24, Numbers 15, etc)

Are these virtues of a good Christian, or is realizing that the bible is incorrect a virtue of a good Christian?

Why do people believe that the story of Noah's Ark is true? What evidence is there for it?

Believing in the story of Noah's Ark is the equivalent of believing in a fairytale. I believe it starts from childhood. The only reason people believe it is because their parents TOLD them that it was true. If their parents read them a fairytale and the story of Noah's Ark side by side, the child would not be able to differentiate between the two. They would both be fairytales to them.

I mean, if you believe in scientology and it all turns out to be a lie, you have nothing to lose, but if it was all true, you have everything to lose. Are you people retarded by taking the choice of losing before the choice of maybe winning?

(P.S. I'm not a scientologist. I am an Atheist. If you understand the purpose behind this message, you won't ask why I posted this being an Atheist.)

I read somewhere that the lineages in Jewish culture were actually passed down by the mother. Yet in the Bible, they are listed by fathers only, with the exception of Ruth and Mary. Since neither culture/religion at those times gave women any worth at all, it seems strange in that context that they would be chosen to be listed rather than their husbands if the idea of patriarchal lineage is true. Does anyone know what the actual procedure was with that?
