... actually, if anything the word "history" was derived from "his story" meaning the tales that men would bring back from war or fights or hunts or sea going exbiditions because women were not allowed to partake in any of these things. Some might see it as an arising from god, but it was a word that arose out of sexist backgrounds. Until recently History was a good word for it, as women have taken such a "lesser" or "unimportant" role in history but now that women have we don't think about changing it because it doesn't occur to us that it is talking about the males' story and not our own.

YES.

GOD according to me is

G-generator
O-operator
D-destroyer

So, The things that happen (history) , is really HIS STORY.

Additionally, if you study ancient indian "DUSHA AVATARA"(10 avataras), a story of how GOD came to earth time and again, you will see, IT ACTUALLY COINCIDES WITH EVOLUTION OF HUMAN BEINGS...thats history (His Story) is really TRUE in all its context.

Keep it up.

Great.

I would have thought the HIS STORY is what was written by the victors, since the losers were dead. So obviously, their side would never be heard.

That would explain some of the glaring rewrites in American history books.

spirenteh is right on that one. "his" does not refer to god but to all men who had a tale to tell.
