Every jew says that there is no trinity. Their Prophets never mentioned such a thing. Why dont you research the history of the church, and there you will see that it was completely made up.

I'm not trouncing atheists for being rude and obnoxious nor do I dislike them, I just think we should all lay our cards on the table face up. Spooket was the only one admiting to having pride in being obnoxious. If there is pride face up, if you sin face up, hiding is cowardice??

2 monks have gone on a pilgrimage. a few days into their trip, they come to a river. on the bank of the river stands a visibly distressed woman. one monk asked her what was wrong...she then says that the river is too deep and strong for her to cross. he picks her up and carries her across. the monks go on their way. a few days later, the other monk finally says "i cant believe you did that, youre a monk and you touched a woman." the other monk then replies "i put her down 3 days ago, why are you still carrying her?"

'Surely, they have disbelieved who say: "Allah is the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)], son of Maryam (Mary)." But the Messiah ['Iesa (Jesus)] said: "O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Verily, whosoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise for him, and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (polytheists and wrongdoers) there are no helpers.

Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a Trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them.

Will they not repent to Allah and ask His Forgiveness? For Allah is OftForgiving, Most Merciful.' (Qur'an 5:72-74)

Note: god with lower-case 'g'. The concept doesn't deserve higher.

Now to the point. Putting most of my strange beliefs aside for a moment, I know all aspects of existence of which I'm aware are cyclic, so its not absurd to believe that those I cannot directly experience should be as well. There are no beginnings or ends, as all things loop back on themselves and undergo constant transition (lets leave the third law of thermodynamics out of this for the moment).

Perhaps the strangest of all these is the whole of existence itself. Because it is all things and there is nothing that it is not... it cannot be defined / described. Definition requires comparison to an alternative, and there can be no valid alternative or contrary to everythingness. The concept of nothingness is just the 'lack' of things, rather than an opposite of any.

Hence... if the theists' "god" is omnipresent, omnipotent, etc... If he is everything, then he lacks any definition and is entirely redundant. ^_^

I have noticed that many questioners on this site lately have been trying to blame the evils of the world on 'otherworldly' (for lack of a better word) or intangible influences.

ie. Evil is the fault of the devil, evil is the fault of God, evil is the fault of religion, evil is the fault of the flying spaghetti monster, etc.

I tend to hold to the belief that the evil which plagues our world is largely of our own making, that it is often the result of actions taken by ordinary people, and that it is our responsibility (as mostly ordinary people) to deal with it.

Is evil the result of an outside influence, or is it simply the result of our cold hearts, our weak minds, and our general greed and unpleasantness?

(This question is open to all, christian, athiest, muslim, nihilist, taoist, agnostic, etc.)

I know that not one religious person will admit it, but they would love to do this. That way they could lawfully impose their beliefs on everyone else.
But it does beg another question. If our founding fathers were all so very religious (and they were!) then why did they see fit to guarantee the separation of church and state? Perhaps it was to protect us from the religious extremism and fanaticism that exists in our very country today?

Me? I have truly awakened to the truth of evolution and secular humanism and wiped my eyes clear of the fairy tales and proven falsehood of the so called bible.

No one can ever separate us from God's love, for death can't, and life can't. The angel's can't, and the demons can't. Our fears for today and our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell cannot keep God's love away...nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
