I've heard some christians say it is a christian song, but toke means smoking marijuana- says so in the dictionary. Maybe it is one of those double meaning songs you can take either way.

No, it is just a silly hippie song from the 1960's or 70's. Some stoner dudes from my home town wrote and sang it.

I thought it was one "toed over the line," not "one toke over the line."
