God commands us to do what is good. But is it good because He commands it or does He comand what is good?
If it is good only because He says so, the He could possibly make it so tourturing infants was good. But this would be absurd.
If He commands what is good because it IS good then that shows quite clearly that goodness does not depend on Him at all.
What are your thoughts.

Why is it that you only see a few Muslim women wearing a Birka etc? so you can only see their eyes? I have even seen the eyes covered as well. I have been told the Quoran does not require this, if this is a fact why do Mulla's and other Muslims allow this practice to continue??

I'm not talking about religion per se. One could view religion as man's attempt to understand the infinite, omnipotent, and omnipresent nature of God. Because we are limited in these arenas, religion as an institution serves almost as much of a social purpose as it does spiritual. Depending on the social envionment, that institution can be severely abused or uplifted.

But to the core of my question. What is it about believing there is more to our world then what we can see that is so repulsive? What is so repulsive about being a champion of love and forgiveness?

Yeah this is wierd if I drop a book it falls 100% of the time. If I pray to God, sometimes it is answered, but usually, 100% of the times the prayers are answered, it could have been something other than God answering.

This is the they the Lord has maid, let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Can be as simple as this:
The las time I used a nes bath towel was about 8 years ago.
I got a new towel, for about 4 days straight, I said every morning
Thank you Jesus!! This is such a nice gift from you. It felt good, and let God know how appreciative I am of the little things as well as bigger blessings.

Disobeying your parents is listed in the bible as a sin, right?? So why is it that people look at Jesus as "perfect" and "without sin" when he clearly disobeys his parents by staying behind in Jeruselum when they were going on the trip home?? I know he was staying to talk to the priests but that really isn't the point. If it were your child and he was staying behind, even to talk to the priests, when you were leaving it would be considered wrong... Therefore a sin, right?? So why is it different for Jesus??

did your conscience bother you at all

One time the bank statement showed 100 more than what I deposited. I sooo wanted to keep it but I notified the bank because my conscience would not leave me alone. No, I figured it was not God blessing me, maybe he was testing my integrity!! I got an A on that test as well. Thank you Jesus.
My Christian upbringing's results. Thanks Grandma for teaching me honesty by example!!!
