Apostolic Christian...yes, i do try and do good things because I want to serve God and be obediant to His word, which instructs us to treat each other with kindness, and yes, do good things for them. I have a love for my fellow man, as well.

I don't actually try to do one good thing a day. I just do whatever I can, whenever the situation comes up. So, I'll be more upset at night if I had a chance to do something good and I missed it, than if I spent the whole day not doing anything good just because the chance didn't come up. For me, it's not one good thing a day. It's one good thing every time I can.
Oh, and I'm an unbeliever in godly matters.

I try to do good for others daily; I do so because I believe it is an inherently right and decent thing to do. I am Jewish, so for me it is a "mitzvah" - obedience to a commandment, but we do not believe we can earn our way into heaven (for that matter, we really don't believe in the whole heaven/hell thing). The fact that I believe that this is the way that God would have me act, and that I believe it is inherently right to do good rather than evil is the only reason I need.

It is because i want to be a GENUINE witness, period.
Out of gratitude and true awareness of old habits washed away, I desire that others SEE the REAL THING, THAT IS THE LORD WORKING IN A PERSONS LIFE.
Others can laugh etc, hey that is their choice by far....but for the few that appreciate sincerity and at least effort, though farrrrrrr from perfection, I do try at least.
*to sum it up:THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT.

spiritual, not religious. i like karmic cookies too! id never attribute the nice things i do to the whole concept that it's "what Jesus would do" or because its "what God commands". My motives have way more to do with realizing that we are all here on this little world, at this same point in time, made of the same fabric, experiencing this whole range of human emotions, and undergoing many of the same situations. Its a matter of social responsibility to our brothers and sisters, and it makes me feel good to help others...it feels right.

I do good things when I can. Why? Because I see too many hateful things happening in the world and I want to do my little part in trying to end that. I am an Atheist.

Yeah, sometimes....I'll try to do good whenever it's possible. I guess I believe in the saying "do good thing to others, and others would do good things to you". It's just in my nature, that's all. Just that, when you help others, you'll feel satisfaction inside of you. Seeing people smile always makes my day.
By the way, Islam is my religion.

there is no gaurantee that you will get into heaven no matter how good you think you are or that you are. so the guy soulful is wrong there. but I try to do good things for other people when I can for the sake of being good. and anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is a christian. and excepts Jesus into his or her heart. doesnt it make you feel good to do good things? It does me.

I am a Christian. I do not go out looking for someone who needs my help but if I see someone who needs my help then I give it because it is the human thing to do.

Yes, I try to good things. For example, I refrain from saying the people who don't agree with me look like monkeys. I also refrain from labeling people with different political opinions as aiders and abetters of terrorists.
How about you?
