Is it safe to say that the only true knowledge of God is if God shows up.

People who claim they have these medical miracles, what happens to their faith in God when medical science does show an explanation?

People use to think God was the reason for lightening.

In Islam, the women are REQUIRED to OBEY their husband, which means their CONSENT is irrelevant. That means a woman must give their husband whatever he wants, whenever he wants it. If the husband wants to have sex, the wife is FORBIDDEN to say NO, and if she DOES...

Koran 4.34: "Men are IN CHARGE of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are OBEDIENT, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear DISOBEDIENCE, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and SCOURGE them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great."

rape: sexual activity and usually sexual intercourse carried out forcibly or under threat of injury AGAINST THE WILL, usually of a female or with a person who is beneath a certain age or incapable of VALID CONSENT.

Is there such thing as RAPE in Islam between husband & wife?

Let's get real now. How often do you read it and do you understand everything you read? If you don't get it, do you ask someone or hope that God will reveal it to you?

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 2 years now. When we first met he was going to church every other week he was working the weeks he didn't go. About this time last year there were some things that happened and we broke up for about a month or so. During this time he kind of lost all faith in God and quit going to church. When we got back together I didn't make a big deal about it, because I was struggling to and really wasn't doint what I needed to do right. Well over the past 6 months I have gotten back on track and I keep asking him to go back to church and he tells me he will, but then at the last minute he is always feeling bad or has a reson he can't go. However like this weekend, he went to a football game on Saturday, but then all the sudden didn't feel good enough to go to church on Sunday. He gets mad at me for saying anything to him about it. What should I do? Should I continue in the relationship or what? Please help I don't know what do! I am so lost!

But how is what you do any different? Many of you post several questions per day either ridiculing Christians or reducing Christianity to some fable. One can argue that you also try to convert believers to atheism?

So, why the double standard? Both sides have their agendas so why aren't you acknowledging yours? And don't say you don't have agendas because there are a ton of you who have some version of the word "Atheist" as your screen name, or some other phrase that denounces religion. Sounds like an agenda to me.

Then please enlighten me as to why I was told 15 years ago that I needed to be on dialysis, and in those 15 years I have had two sons that were not supposed to be possible? That I survived those years without dialysis? I prayed for God's assistance and it could only be His work. My doctors did not understand either as my kidneys had almost completely stopped functioning. God answers prayer my friend but not always as we wish it.

PBS will soon air a show on this story. In a remote part of Turkey, there is a Muslim family that literally walks on all fours. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/03/0308_060308_all_fours.html

"The siblings' parents are CLOSELY RELATED and have had 19 children in all."

Its ironic that Islam should give us today visible evidence of the evolutionary process. You see, Islamic single sex communities (Islam's extreme separation of the sexes) creates extremely high incest rates. For example, in America, according to studies cited in Discover magazine, the rate is about 1% (lowest in world), but Islamic communities had the highest incest rates ranging as high as 50% in more rural areas.

So, the conclusion is, that Islamic incest has preserved for us, the genetic expression of quadruplism -- " He believes the siblings, who range in age from 18 to 34, are evolutionary throwbacks—a "missing link" to our forebears."

I could not find the remote yesterday and had to watch Joel Osteen's wife for about five minutes before I decided to old school it and change the channel myself. I was struck with how frequently she kept saying how she knew God and the things she was saying were his will and the truth. I understand that Christians believe the Bible is the word of the big guy, but this seemed rather arrogant to me that someone could stand there and act as if they knew for certain the things they were saying would lead a person to salvation...no ifs, and, or buts. How can one claim to know anything of something which we cannot hear, see, or even comprehend? How can one be certain that their particular beliefs are the truth? There have been literally hundreds of different religions. It just seems a little egocentrical that people can put themselves up on pedastals this way.

OK, so the Ark was plundered from the temple of Solomon hundreds and hundreds of years ago.
I also understand that King Cyrus or Persia returned many of the treasures lost in this plunder.
So, what is it doing in the Etheopian orthodox church?
Why is it that they are hogging it?
Why is nobody allowed to see it?
Why haven't we killed us some etheiopians to get it?
Answers plz.

How important is it to you that the person you date is Catholic?
Here's why I ask. I'm a faithful Christian. I seriously dated a Catholic and attended mass with him regularly for over a year. I understand the problems that arise when you are considering marriage. I learned alot about he Catholic faith during that time. I even helped him to grow stronger in his faith during that time. When we first started dating he told me that he was Catholic and I didn't even blink. He told me that he had encountered alot of predjudice in the past. I said I was only concerned about whether he was a faithful Christian person, and I still mean that. Later, in the relationship, he treated ME as if I was less of a Christian because I was not Catholic. I understand having a preference for Catholics, but don't you feel that the MOST important issue is whether or not a person is a truly FAITHFUL Christian?
