To those people who have not caught up to the twenty century- No there is no rape . If a girl is raped she is considered dirty, her family will disown her, maybe they will trade her for food or a little money. They might keep her to do the ch ours and take care of the others that are in that family. Even if it was no fault of her own , now she has a harder road ahead of her. If it is sex between husband and wife and she says it was rape- sorry to bad because the men think they own there wife's, how many do they have anyway?

I do not know in what spirit you have asked this question. However, I would like to lower your level of ignorance by mentioning to you that no religion allows rape.
Islam is the best religion by its principles. However, its followers, the Muslims, have alienated themselves from the mainstream of human society for long time and now society is reciprocating by boycotting Islam by promoting half understood laws of this great religion.
Muslims have failed to live upto the modern standards. But that does not mean that Islam is wrong. The principles of Islam are absolutely correct and eternal, but Muslims have failed to understand Islam which in turn has precipitated into a gross misunderstanding of its principles by other religions too.
Islam has always considered equality of man and woman. But, Muslim men have tempered its principles and created inequality for their own selfish reasons. Even in Christian society, inequality prevails as many Christians still doubt Mary Magdalene's character inspite of the fact that she was closest to Jesus.

No...it is not allowed..but some men r like animals...if they want anything they have it....and some people understand what they want...but making love is a very sensitive relation...it contains love .care,passion,faith and believe...and if a man rape a woman he is going to break all the feelings...love will die...

Yep. That's how it was written. I take the Koran for how it reads. Muslims try and doctor it up, but there is no getting past or around these things. It means what it says. It is very sad to know.

It wouldn't be shocking. Genital mutilation is a-okay, as are "honor killings", which means killing a woman because she's no longer a virgin. And you're certainly allowed to keep a women prisoner, and deny her an education.
But, the important thing to remember is: ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF PEACE. Don't forget that!

generally when u get married in saudi u have to like the guy.. and generally they do like their husbands... and rape anyway in arabia is a crime and shariah law... u get hanged for it or something else severe

rape as you use it is a legal term and as such it doesn't apply in that relationship ( forced sex would not be illegal so no rape )
