There are so many conflicting statements about what Islam teaches and doesn't teach. How can I get to the real truth about Islam?

to be an athiest -you have to be able to prove there is no God---you would have to look in all the universe all at the same time-incase say God was hiding in a closet in china-so you would have to be omnipresent-every where at once-and if God was in spirit form you would have to have something that could find this spirit-ie the soul with its vacuum to find God.
My life changed when i asked as a Jew what to do about sin-i was told to throw bread on water-that Moses was wrong about us needing a blood atonement for sins-Leviticus 17vs11

i was told we have to work around Isaiah 52vs13-53vs12 about one that would be exaulted but first marred more than any man and would lay down his life as our sacrificial lamb to make atonement for our souls.

ATHIESTS-you think everything came from nothing-yet it was created-because it all has age-therefore didnt exist at one time-came together became alive-and against 3rd law of thermodynamics-order to chaos-turned into your mom a monkey-u mayB?

I actually don't care about what religious people think too much, but I gotta qualify it so that I stay on topic for this category!

fringe that continually denounce the decadence, sexuality, etc. found in Western culture (and I'll even agree that there sure is much of both) often seem to have the goal of gaining what seems like riches, sexual excesses (40 virgins??), etc. by becoming martyrs through acts of extremism. I admit I know very little about Islam and I honestly don't mean to offend members of this faith; it's just the extremist fringe always seemed to be a paradox for me (denouncing the immorality, overt sexuality, material excesses, etc found in Western culture and yet hoping martyrdom will bring them women, riches, etc- furthermore trying to achieve this by committing an immoral act of murder). Moslems (Muslims) in particular, could you please respond? Maybe I'm totally mistaken; what "rewards" are these martyrs supposed to gain? I know the vast majority of Moslems are good, peaceful people and please take this opportunity to discuss any other stereotypes (Western) society seems to have about Islam.

If He is than explain this:

Leviticus 20:9 " Any child that curses his mother or his father shall be put to death"

Oh, I get it. You cannot remove a clump of cells but it is fine to murder your children for cussing at you!

Psalms 127;3 reads; Look! Sons are an inheritance from Jehovah; the fruitage of the belly is a reward. .......So i would like to know how some people accept abortion even though it is a reward from God. How could you trample on such a beautiful gift from your creator?

Would you consider an Atheist who donates to a church's cause a hypocript? I donate to a church's shelter for battered women and recently to a church daycare that was burned down last week. I was called a hypocrite by an Atheist peer. I don't feel this way, I think that's absurd. Atheism does not make me less human. But are there Atheists who actually feel that's hypocrisy?

how many adopted children do you have, or do you plan to take in?

As almost all christians recommend that women who want an abortion put their children up for adoption instead, I would image that you are all anxious to adopt, consierding how overcrowded adoption centers are.

Am I wrong?

along time ago i posted a message about one of my ex friends stalking me well now its got worse,he has been cutting his arms .after I told him to go fu** off and leave me the hell alone...he will show up at school with these"scratches"

what should I do?
Should I ignore the fact that he is causing pain to himself?
Should I Be his friend and have him make me feel uncomfortable all the time?
Should I turn it in?
Or do i laugh at him in the hallways and make him feel like an idiot for doing something thast stupid?
or should I just let him die since he is not strong enough to handle this world?

No offense to any body who is emo...I was in his shoes once.

You tell people they were born g@y because it says so in a book written 2000 years ago by a bunch of war hungry christians who had visions. By the way, do you know what we call people who have visions in the real world? Crazy... NEways. Remeber being a kid and just wanting to fit in? what little kids decides he wants to be a social outcast and made fun of his entire childhood? Please! It would be easier to convince a kid to kill someone than make him embarasses himself at school. Any what about the people who accepted Jesus as their savior but live their entire life lonely because they can not find love, in fear their christian brothers will condemn them. If you christians keep pushing people away, a 100 years from now the only christians that will be left will be fanatics. Then it either war or separation. That cant be god plan

I am a gentile, and I was raised Christian, but I'm highly interested in the Jewish culture and faith. I don't want to see Messianic Judaism as a compromise because I respect the people who practice it a lot. But I find the sort of religious gap it fills intriguing. Any insight would be great.
