Is reincarnation evil or good?

What are your thoughts on this?

What do your holy teachers and holy books say about this?

(Of course, this is another interfaith question. Thanks!)

Look at the biggest causes of death and destruction and religion barely rates

Mao Tse-Tung
Kill tally: 14 to 20 million deaths from starvation during the 'Great Leap Forward'. Tens of thousands killed and millions of lives ruined during the 'Cultural Revolution'.

Hitler
Kill tally: Directly responsible for the deaths of over 60 million worldwide as a result of the Second World War.

Stalin
Kill tally: Approximately 20 million, including up to 14.5 million needlessly starved to death. At least one million executed for political "offences". At least 9.5 million more deported, exiled or imprisoned in work camps, with many of the estimated five million sent to the 'Gulag Archipelago' never returning alive. Other estimates place the number of deported at 28 million, including 18 million sent to the 'Gulag'.

The list is endless of killing, misery and death that has nothing to do with religion.

Let me start here: I am not one of you. However, I respect your religion greatly, and I respect that there are many of you who *do* practice the words of Jesus. I thank you for it. You're the ones who have helped me out many times in my life, and I appreciate it greatly.

My question: What is your outlook on those who preach hate in the name of Jesus? What, if anything, do you/can you do about them? On one hand, this is incredibly damaging to the image of your church (and these people are the ones who fuel many of the fires on this site), as well as simply harmful in general.

I personally know, from my own experience, that there are a lot of wonderful people who are Christians. Not everyone has this to draw on, and it's the hatemongers who yell the loudest and get the attention. I know, I know this is almost a hopeless task, but...how do you deal with these people?

All he wants to do is chill with nature and now he is either burning in hell or he is in heaven worshiping God! I don't think he will be happy either way! Unless they have swamps in heaven. I guess there might be some snakes in hell. Maybe the devil will let him play with them. What do you think?

Hi, I'm trying to arrange a punch up this weekend to settle it once and for all. Would anyone be interested in signing up. I'm looking for 2 teams of 5. No turbans (due to concealed weapons) or rucksacks (for obvious reasons). The prize to the winning team is a place in heaven all expenses paid. Buffet and light refreshments provided. Venue to be announced.

A question was asked can something be proven, then disproven,

Did you consider the sun and the Earth?

look up and make an observation, the sun goes around the Earth, based on the scientific observation of watching thats an accurate statement.

Now lets disprove it, get a telescope, observe Mercury and Venus, calculate the movement and predict where its going to be, Mercury and Venus don't orbit the Earth they orbit the sun, as does Earth.

Is this a good example or a bad example of something proven then disproven?

If I'm wrong tell me, I don't mind being wrong, I dropped out of logic in college, god a D in philosophy,

boy you should have seen me thou in Marketing and Accounting, and Economics.

On my greatest day I can't do logic, but on my worst day I can figure out whats wrong with a general ledger in a matter of minutes.

PS - aren't phone calls wonderful

the reason i question this is that when i saw the Passion of Christ. At the last supper Jesus told his discliples to take the bread and eat, and to take the wine and drink. And to do this in memberance of me, and it hit me that he was talking just to them and not to mankind which has taking this far and beyond what it was ment for.

Why do some religions feel the need to convert everyone so bad that they will knock on your door with a Bible and try to convince you that you should believe in their view, and when you tell them you don't, they just keep coming back.

I don't think I have ever heard of anyone showing up with a science book trying to convince me science it the right way.

Is this because science doesn't need to be "marketed" like religion because it stands on its own merit?

If this messes with your mind...tell me! My #1 reason for not going to HELL is not because I will burn for all eternity, teeth nashing, souls crying in the lake of fire...etc...my reason is that if I go to HELL, I will forever be seperated from GOD. I would never be able to communicate with him, pray, seek his face, sing his praises, worship him....it is a forever seperation in which no more chances are given. My God, what would we do in being seperated from our Savior
