They both claim to stand for one thing but they are lived out far differently than their original intention.

They are similar, but not one and the same.

Communism is based on a government's totalitarian control of a people, forcing them to give up wealth for the sake of others. This is a HIGHLY corruptable basis for a social system.

Christianity is based on the belief that a person SHOULD give up wealth and comfort for the sake of others. Nobody takes it from them like Robin Hood. While there is some measurable instance of corruption in this system, those who are victimized are usually hurt by their ignorance of who Christ is.

Within the exceedingly narrow framework YOU laid out, you re correct.

Communism, if it was lived as Marx intended and if people were the nice, honest, decent sorts he obviously thought they were, would work.
The early Christians, however, discovered to their shock and horror, that not even the elect could be counted on to always be honest, decent. See Acts and what happened to Ananias and Sapphira.

Both the same in that regard, yes.

However, I believe you'll find exceptions to this rule in both groups. For example, kibbutzim in Israel were well-run communistic groups (although not quite marxist).
There were many well-run communist communities in the 1800's. 'Course, they were far more crummy ones.

Same with Christians. Every now and then I'll find one or a few who really live what they believe.

What was it Ghandi said? Something like "I like your christ. I do not like your christians. They are so unlike your christ."

Christianity allows freedom, communism promotes tyranny. There is no place for freedom in a communistic society. That is far different than what a christian society would promote.

Why don't you ask all the former hippies who their leaders were? They were too stoned to notice they were commies.

Christians ARE NOT communists. That would be the liberals, who think everyone should be equal and we should all get along. That's exactly how how the U.S.S.R. got started.

you've made quite a leap in logic to come to that conclusion. I contend that you are sadly mistaken and you make assertions not supported by the evidence
