God is an incredibly IMPROBABLE thing to begin with. And then to be the only thing to not require an origin...how exactly is that digestable?

If the first thing God created was time then how does time become God's master, answer it does not. God created the first second, therefore there is nothing before God!

Speaking of improbable all evolutionary scientist acknowledge the odds against the creation of earth and advanced human life. HMM lets compare. One set of beliefs that accepts that our current existence is the result of chance similiar to someone winning the lottery in several states at the same time or the belief that a God created the universe and designed it this way because He wanted to. I see the results of intentional building every day. I have not met many lottery winners. God seems far more probable to me. But is you want to be a monkeys grandson your welcome to it.

Excellent question and points raised. Consider this.

If we assume the universe was created, then it’s reasonable to assume there was a creator. That’s as far as science has progressed today, but just look how far religion has progressed.

Religion states (fact) there was a creator called God, that God still exists, God also created places called Heaven & Hell, God wrote an instruction book called the Bible, God will banish evil people to Hell, God will send good people who follow the Bible to heaven, that people referred to in the Bible (like Jesus) will return to Earth, and a whole raft of other statements of fact. That’s right, religious fact, not assumptions.

Now tell me truthfully, if science doesn’t even know yet whether the universe was created or not, but religious believers state: “not only was the universe created by God, here’s a whole lot more proof and facts to go with it, what do you think?

Either religious believers just have vivid imaginations or suffer from a common mental illness. I think commonsense and logic would suggest that religious believers are mentally handicapped.

Because everything else is confined to the space-time bubble that requires linear logic.

God exists in eternity, a state of existance outside of space-time. Therefore, there is no "before" in relation to God.

If God had an origin, then what would his origin, and what would be his origin, ect, ect, ect. You are talking about an endless line of origins, and that is just not logical in any system of philosophy.

because people who identify as extremely devout need things ambiguous to keep justifying their bigotries. can you imagine God being interviewed on CNN saying " yes, I want all people to love and respect each other, being gay isn't a sin but you will go to hell for cheating on your spouse"? the christains wouldn't stand for it.

It's the classical logical fallacy of Special Pleading....however, faith acts as a nearly impenetrable shield against rational thought....
