I'm a teen girl who has a very, very close friend who doesn't exactly believe in God. He is so important to me, and I care about him so much. I wish that he could know God, and be able to pray, and rely on him. He admits that he isn't going to heaven, and tells me he wishes it wouldn't bother me, because it really doesn't bother him. He also says that he believes religion is about individual spiratuality, but I really don't understand his reasoning. The circumstances under which we met are rare, and I feel that God has brought him into my life for a reason, so I can teach him, and make him believe. I feel that if I don't succeed, I'll let down my friend, myself, and most importantly, God. I love my friend so much, and I'd do anything, so that he could know God. Thank You.

I hear many Muslim apologists claim that Islam is the religion of tolerance. Meanwhile, there is a prophetical statement from prophet Muhammed that orders Muslism not to salute a Jew or a Christian (or even say "HELLO") until the other one does it first. And it also orders Muslims to force Jews and Christians to walk at the side of the road and leave the better part of the road for Muslims.

My question is that if Muslims treat Jews and Christians with tolerance, are not they violating what their prophet order them?

(by the way, the statement is in Sahih Muslim Vol. 2 No. 4030)

I asked the question that way to get your attention. Do you believe that morals are religated to the religious only? If so, then it would be true to say that all religiuos people are moral. As an atheist, I have had the slings and arrows of of religious people and groups thrown at me. I'm not complaining, just wondering the logic here. I live and profess an extremely high moral life. There is right, and there is wrong. Why do some people believe that I cannot differentiate the two unless I believe in GOD? There are absolutes in right and wrong. There are also grey areas. I believe the truely moral, religious or not, struggle daily with the grey areas. I know I do. Your thoughts?

Jim_Darwin asked about the South Park character Timmy, who cannot say anything outside of Timmy!, and asked about his salvation. Well many of you said that he doesn't count because he is a cartoon character.

Well, my sister has down syndrome. She cannot comprehend the idea of religion, much less the idea of sin and having to confess them.

Since she is unable to do this, she will go to hell?

How are we ingnorant if we chose to beleive in something worth believing in. If we put our faith in something that can be proven as opposed to something that is unfounded even though we have done our research and know the flubs in a more scientific way of disproving religion?

AND why intolerant. What happened to the free world of opionons? How are we intolerant if we accept follow the teachings of the word? Isn't it intolerant to disregard the christian doctrines? Would it be any betetr if we weren't christians and didn't indulge in the sins of this world?

The point of Intelligent Design is not to enforce a particular religion on students, but only to give them the choice to decide whether or not they think there might be a Mind behind the order of the universe. Why is this such a horrible thought?
Shouldn't it be left to the individual to decide whether or not they think the "Designer" might be the Christian God or some other Deity?

i was watching a t.v. program that stated that the body of Christ, not referring to His church, but His actual body was a temple, and he gave a verse in Isa., but I didnt catch the verse, so I am asking to find this answer. I know that John 2:21 indicates Christ's body as a temple, but I am not sure where in Isa. this is mentioned.

So jesus came to earth as a prophet....na lets meet half-way....Ok he was the son of God....and he came to earth and he was crucified....to relieve your sins...(including child rapers, and their kind but thats another question)...Now Who sent him to earth to be crucified...? Did he spontaneous appear and want to pardon these monstors....nope God sent him....Did jesus forgive you....nope God did....now tell me God created you...gave you life...and all you have.....but you worship Jesus....its in Jesus's approximate words..."Worship God through me(or something like that)"....now I...could say..."i went to texas by bus"....also said ...I went to texas through public transport...get it....Jesus i just the vessel to God...now the question....Why have Christians become sooooo enthralled by the vessel or vehicle...and forgotten their destination God....? why don't they worship God....some may say God and Jesus are one...then how can God Create Himself....?!!? ...isn't it stupid...?
