Why or why not?
Anyone here support teaching ID in school but not FSM?
If so, how can you reconcile such a hypocritial position?
Why not teach ALL sides of the controversy!?!?

UKTess, I know the purpose of the FSM very well.
It's set up for this kind of question. No, it's not really meant to attack evolution, but like this question does, it's meant to demonstrate the idiocy of attacking evolution with theology. (what I'm doing with this question is exactly the whole point!)
You should get the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster... it's very entertaining.

I don't think its a contreversy. I actually think science should teach Evolution correctly, as a Theory, like Gravity, we don't know really what causes the attraction of bodies that have mass, and we don't really know the way that species went from one species to another, so we should teach these Theories as what they are the Theories.
Religious believes do not belong in science class. Intelligent Design is a religious believe, it has subjectively described the creator of life as intelligent, and the flying spaghetti monster while a fictional religious believe, clearly belongs on the shelves of adults as a funny book.
Evolution should not be taught as "higher order of species" comes from "lower order", thats just as religious as intelligent design.

Sure why not, The teaching of design of "The Flying Spaghetti Monster" that's why we teach Art and history in schools. In history we teach the origin of the spaghetti, it's origin from China then perfected by the Italians and in Art we teach that with a good imagination we can put things together to accomplish a master piece using raw materials. In evolution is more or less the same thing we take raw materials and put them together and claim that those bones make what ever we think it is again using our imagination because we can not comprehend that in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

I think you've misunderstood the purpose of the FSM. It's to make fun of the intention to teach ID, not as a protest at the intention to teach evolution.
FSM invented system of belief without evidence
ID ditto
Evolution - Generally accepted scientific theory, backed by all available evidence, believed by the overwhelming majority of the scientific community.
Because the trouble with allowing all sides of a controversy to be taught is that they all end up being taught at equally true.
After all - we don't allow The Flat Earth Society to come and teach in our schools or those neo-Nazi idiots who deny the Holocaust happened.

Absolutely it should be taught. Let the students hear all sides and then they can make up their minds.
Also, gravity is only a theory. They should not teach the theory of gravity as though it is truth when it is only a theory. Nobody knows how gravity really works. I have a theory that invisible monkeys grab our feet and pull us down every time we jump up. Children should be taught this theory as an alternative to Newtonian gravitational theory.

Don't forget the invisible pink unicorn.
She is invisible but we know she is pink.
We have faith in her. And no-one can prove or disprove her.
