Jim_Darwin asked about the South Park character Timmy, who cannot say anything outside of Timmy!, and asked about his salvation. Well many of you said that he doesn't count because he is a cartoon character.
Well, my sister has down syndrome. She cannot comprehend the idea of religion, much less the idea of sin and having to confess them.
Since she is unable to do this, she will go to hell?

She is able to talk, and can understand some things, but mainly only focuses on music. Since she did not choose to focus what little comprehenion she has on religion, she will go to hell?

Beth, you have obviously misread my question. Since I am now extremely angry that you seem to think that I am damning myself and my sister to hell, I will refuse to address this further, because this will only make my completely go insane.

It would seem unfair to humans to send someone to hell just because they don't have the mental capacity to understand as much as other people.
God is much more fair and just than humans are. I think we can trust him to be at least as fair and loving with her as humans are!

See Acts 17:30. No she will not go to Hell as she has no capacity to know what is right and wrong so He will wink at it or take that into account. God is a just God that takes things into account that we do not even think of most times. Why would God hold someone accountalbe for something they know nothing about? If you are able to know what is right and wrong, then you are held responsible for your actions as you have chosen to do the wrong but if you do not even know it is wrong, that would not be very just, now would it?

That puts your sister in the "before the age of reason" category, and Arminian thought thus puts her in the "saved" column. Calvinist thought says that we don't decide anything (which I think is more accurate), but baptism is a sign and seal of the covenant the God has with His people. Has your sister been baptized and made an "official" member of God's family? That's what believing Christian families should do. Well, some of them believe this, anyway.

We have the Holy Spirit who speaks to God on our behalf when we cannot. God knows our needs without us saying a word. And I wouldn't be so sure of what another persons soul comprehends and what it does not. You cannot see into a persons soul. Only God can do that.
Your sister is an innocent soul.

It never ceases to amaze me that the followers of the God of Love can seriously expect him to create a place of eternal torment. And I'm completely floored by the notion that the All-Powerful God is powerless to save those who are supposedly destined to end up there.

Your sister is IN DANGER OF GOING TO HELL. A person
can not, should not, say 'so & so is going to Hell," God teaches
'judge not or so shall ye be judged" which means if you say that
your sister is going to Hell, than you shall go to. Only God knows
if anyone is going to Hell or Heaven. That is why we must
follow God's commands and work for Him with pleasure. Your
sister CAN be taught if a person will only take the time to in-
struct her. Children with Down's syndrome are NOT dumb
people. They may not be able to answer you but they can hear.
I bet she will comprehend more than you think. Give her a try.
You will be blessed for it. Ask God for help in teaching her.
Ask God to open her heart to hear the message of Jesus Christ.

Old Jim is full of questions that are contrary.
Do you really think that God is so vicious that He would allow innocent children and people that have disabilities to be damned?
If He is, then He doesn't deserve worship.
Reminds me of the old religions, kill a virgin to please him.
Kill something to please him.
The hell with that.
Another religious system to try to get to God.
You can't see until you are given eyes.
You can't hear until you are given ears.
You can't live until you are risen from the dead.

She will not...............God holds her unaccountable for sin just as He does small children until they reach an age of maturity to understand right from wrong.
He that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin. Your sister will be in heaven and perfect.
